    A head chef oversees all kitchen operations, combining culinary and managerial skills to ensure profitability and high-quality food. They report to the pub or general manager. Key responsibilities: • Manage daily kitchen operations, including cooking, food preparation, and cleanup., • Design and plan seasonal menus, with the creativity to develop new and enticing dishes., • Order inventory, manage supplier relationships, and oversee stock control and rotation to minimize waste., • Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff, assigning tasks and creating work rotas., • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen., • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring every dish meets the pub's standards., • Control food and labor costs to ensure the kitchen meets financial targets., • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Skills and requirements: • Extensive experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably within a pub or similar environment., • Proven leadership and people management skills., • Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting., • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations., • Exceptional culinary skills and creativity., • Food Health and safety certifications.
