About Our Partner We are working with a forward-thinking independent school educating approximately 250 pupils across Upper and Lower School sites. The school is making significant investment into computing, digital learning, and AI education, with a strong emphasis on creativity, curiosity, and preparing pupils with future-ready skills. The Role – Head of Computing This senior role offers full ownership of computing provision across the school. You will design, lead, and deliver an engaging curriculum that embeds computing, AI, and digital literacy in imaginative, age-appropriate ways—particularly for primary-aged pupils. Key responsibilities include: * Leading and developing computing provision across Upper and Lower School sites * Designing and delivering an engaging computing curriculum, including AI, coding, robotics, digital safety, and creative technology projects * Embedding AI into learning in imaginative and practical ways that excite pupils * Making full use of advanced facilities including VR, 3D printing, robotics, and specialist computing suites * Explaining complex technical concepts clearly and enthusiastically to primary-aged learners * Supporting staff across the school to integrate meaningful digital learning into their teaching * Monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning quality within computing * Coordinating online assessments and relevant external examinations * Identifying and nurturing pupils with strong aptitude or interest in computing * Maintaining a safe digital learning environment, including filtering, monitoring, and e-safety * Acting as part of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) team with responsibility for online safety Role Requirements – Ideal Candidate Will: * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification * Have proven experience teaching computing or a closely related subject * Demonstrate strong experience working with primary-aged pupils * Communicate complex ideas clearly, accessibly, and with enthusiasm * Bring a high-energy, engaging, and innovative teaching style * Have strong subject knowledge across computing, AI, robotics, and digital safety * Be confident implementing emerging technologies such as VR and AI in the classroom * Have experience working in a technology-rich or Apple-based environment (desirable) * Possess a strong understanding of safeguarding, e-safety, and UK GDPR requirements * Demonstrate excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills * Be comfortable working flexibly across two school sites Why Work with ANZUK Education * Dedicated, personalised support from an experienced education consultant * Access to free CPD and ongoing professional development * Opportunity to work in a school genuinely investing in computing, AI, and innovation * A permanent leadership role with autonomy, resources, and support to innovate About ANZUK Education ANZUK Education is dedicated to creating exceptional experiences in education.
