Recruit, supervise and support Deputy Managers, Team Leaders and Senior Support Workers. Provide coaching, guidance and performance management to develop staff and maintain high standards of care. Manage service budgets and ensure effective deployment of staff resources. Use internal IT systems to monitor staffing, incidents, training, compliance and service quality. Work with external professionals, commissioners and partner agencies to promote the service and support referrals and placements. Support staff through inductions, training and ongoing professional development. Continuously develop your own knowledge and practice to support service improvement. Minimum Requirements: Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a College / similar setting. Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or be willing to work towards this qualification). Prior experience managing staff teams, rotas and service delivery. Enhanced DBS (being on the update service). Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures and quality standards. The plant, currently under construction, is capable of processing up to 350,000 tonnes of waste per year, producing power for up to 70,000 homes. This new build Power Station is due to enter commercial operation by the end of 2026. Now is an ideal time to join the power station as you'll be involved in full plant commissioning, training & mobilisation. We are looking for a Shift Team Leader to join the Operations Team on this brand new facility. As the Shift Team Leader you'll be involved in the supervision of the Operations Team including Shift Operators and Fuel Operators ensuring safe & efficient operation of the plant. There will be a focus on improving efficiency & plant performance to meet contractual obligations in terms of availability & power production. Responsibilities and duties: As the Shift Team leader you will be responsible for: Responsible for supervising shift teams to ensure the safe & efficient operation of the plant, organising shift cover when needed. Managing the sites safety systems including the permit to work system and acting as a Senior Authorised Person for the purpose of applying the safe system of work including carrying out isolations, issuing permits, switching and earthing. Carrying out (and develop) risk assessments and will be working closely with the management team to improve and minimise the impacts at the Energy from Waste Plant. Routine testing to ensure emergency safety and environmental procedures and recording information as required. Provide training & mentoring to facility staff and take an active part in their personal development plans. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: A recognised qualification in an engineering field at HNC level or higher; other qualifications below this will be considered with extensive experience Ideally qualified with an IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent with an appreciation of workplace Health & Safety including knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, LOTO, Isolations, SOP's, RAMS would also be considered. Ideally a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship. Personal skills The Shift Team Leader would suit someone with: At least five years supervisory or leadership experience or able to demonstrate extensive leadership qualities. Qualified to act as a Senior Authorised Person / SAP for all HV Switching activities. Practical knowledge of process plant and equipment gained in an industry such as Energy from Waste, Biomass, Coal, CCGT, Nuclear / Power Generation, Petrochemical or Oil & Gas etc ideally with Steam Raising plant. Marine Engineers from Merchant Fleet or Royal Navy will be considered. Experience in leading a team of Process Operators / Technicians. Involvement in plant mobilisation and commissioning is desirable but not essential. Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician on a 3 month contract, located in Glasgow Role Summary The post holder will have the required electrical maintenance knowledge and experience having completed a recognised apprenticeship with certification, to undertake/assist in ensuring the safe and continuous operation of electrical supplies, building systems, plant, equipment, fabric and grounds as part of a flexible maintenance team; responsible, through the line management structure to the Facilities Team Leader. As directed by the Facilities Team Leader, the post holder is responsible for carrying out the maintenance, repair and minor project work within the site. The post holder will be very much involved with the maintenance, reactive and minor works covering a wide and varied range of fabric and equipment. The works will also incorporate a considerable amount of work within sophisticated locations serving key hospital disciplines such as, but not limited to, operating theatres, renal and endoscopy departments. Over and above the use of standard hand tools, maintenance work may require the use of specialist tools, workshop fixed equipment, portable electrical equipment, precision calibration and test equipment on which attention to detail is essential to ensure specialist items of equipment are adjusted and set up within the specific parameters advised within manuals/instructions. Overview: 1. To work in accordance with the requirements of the Clients rules for the Safe Operation of Low Voltage, Mechanical, Pressure, Water, Medical Gas and Confined Spaces. To work in accordance with the requirements of Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM’s) and any other relevant statutory compliance requirements., 2. Actively participate in the operation, undertaking and control of all planned maintenance schemes in support of the business and contract needs., 3. This will include but is not limited to, electrical systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarm checks, ahu maintenance, water systems maintenance, medical gas maintenance, pressure systems maintenance., 7. To liaise with Facilities Team Leaders regarding plant or equipment failures and to arrange for the supply of goods and/or services, as necessary., 8. Complete all works report sheets and test certificates as necessary on electronic and hard formats as required., 9. Complete all Task Assessment sheets relating to work and provide improvements to existing maintenance routines for inclusion in the maintenance management system., 10. Use of all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works ensuring full compliance with Client Guidelines and Controls e.g., Risk Assessment, Permits to Work, Method Statements, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection and Hazardous Substances, 11. Undertake training where necessary to learn new skills and techniques as part of the business needs and personal development. This will include training as an Appointed Person – Low Voltage and taking up this role on completion of training., 12. Ensure good team work ethic and assist Client colleagues and external contractors as required., 13. Maintain tools and workshops, storage and equipment areas in a clean and tidy manner., 14.
