We work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders and represent our business interests externally. As a Senior Regulation Analyst your expertise will be key to achievement of our business goals. You will be at the forefront of influencing regulatory policy decisions and providing essential advice across our internal teams. What youll be doing Influence Regulatory Policy and manage requests for information: • Collaborate with the business to produce responses to regulatory consultations and requests., • Prepare and submit regular and ad-hoc submissions to the Government Ofgem and other parties. Provide Expert Advice • Review business communications policies and other materials from a regulatory perspective to ensure that we can comply with regulatory obligations while maintaining operational flexibility and cost efficiency., • Help colleagues navigate the complex regulatory landscape interpreting primary and secondary Legislation Licence Conditions and industry codes to provide expert advice and opinion on internal business developments Monitor emerging opportunities and risks • Work with colleagues across the business to understand emerging business opportunities due to regulatory reform., • Monitor and mitigate regulatory risks supporting our response to regulatory changes so our policies remain aligned and effective. What youll bring • A high degree of professional integrity, • Knowledge of the GB energy regulatory commercial and compliance framework should this be in the minimum criteria, • Ability to present concise and clear findings and conclusions to senior management., • Excellent ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing, • A high standard of written English to enable the presentation of arguments and ideas in a clear logical and persuasive manner at a variety of levels, • Ability to assess the scale of risk and make sound business decisions based on reasoned judgment., • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the ScottishPower business within the context of the wider Iberdrola group., • Understanding of risk management internal control and governance, • Appropriate experience in a professional role., • Ability to prioritise workload whilst focusing on quality and delivery to agreed timelines., • Well-developed data analytics skills are desirable.
