Not-for-Profit Audit Manager – Taunton \n Taunton | Full-Time | Hybrid & Flexible Working | Competitive Salary + Benefits \n Keywords: Not-for-Profit Audit Manager, Charity Audit Manager, NFP Audit, Charity Accounts, Independent Examination, SORP, ACA, ACCA, Audit Manager, Accountancy Practice, Taunton, Somerset \n We're recruiting an experienced Not-for-Profit Audit Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton. \n This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector. You'll manage a varied portfolio, oversee charity accounts and independent examinations, develop client relationships and support the next generation of professionals. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Review charity accounts and independent examinations prepared by junior team members\n, • Prepare and complete files to a high standard ready for Partner review\n, • Support junior staff with the preparation of charity accounts under SORP\n, • Perform independent examinations and deal with specialist charity matters\n, • Work closely with the Head of Charities on ad hoc projects and specialist advice\n, • Deal with charity accounting, taxation and VAT queries\n, • Manage workflow to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met\n, • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients\n, • Review limited company accounts and support wider accounts assignments\n, • Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns where required\n, • Coach and develop trainees, helping them build successful careers within the not-for-profit sector\n, • Take ownership of responsibilities and contribute to the continued development of the team\n\n About You \n\n • ACA or ACCA qualified\n, • Previous accounting or audit experience within the charity / not-for-profit sector\n, • Strong understanding of charity accounting and SORP\n, • Experience managing a broad portfolio of clients\n, • Experience coaching, mentoring or leading junior team members\n, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills\n, • Excellent organisational and time management abilities\n, • Passionate about working with charity and not-for-profit organisations\n, • Able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team\n\n What's on Offer \n\n • Hybrid and flexible working\n, • Competitive salary and benefits\n, • Specialist charity and not-for-profit portfolio\n, • Opportunity to work closely with senior charity specialists\n, • Significant client responsibility and development opportunities\n, • Coaching and mentoring responsibilities\n, • Ongoing professional training and support\n, • Opportunity to shape your own responsibilities within the team\n, • Clear career progression\n, • Supportive and collaborative working environment\n\n Location \n Taunton, Somerset \n Commutable from Bridgwater, Yeovil, Wellington, Glastonbury, Street and surrounding areas. \n Apply today for a confidential discussion with Jack Wood on or .
