What you’ll do As an Engineering Facilities Manager, you’ll oversee the pre-opening and ongoing management of 1 Mayfair Residences including a swimming pool, spa, meeting rooms, and a fitness centre. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing maintenance, vendor relations, safety compliance, and enhancing resident satisfaction. A day in the life of our Engineering Facilities Manager demands high levels of energy. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. The list below details the key functions deemed essential: • As an Engineering Facilities Manager you will execute the mobilization plan in the run up to the building completion, as directed by the Area Director of Engineering and in collaboration with the development and asset management team and lead all on site pre-opening activities that relate to the technical aspects of the building., • As an Engineering Facilities Manager you will be responsible for selecting and implementing the CAFM system and immerse yourself in the ongoing construction activities to understand all the intricacies of the finished building., • You will work collaboratively with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards., • You will ensure all maintenance services are delivered in line with Dorchester Collection’s standards and with understanding of the needs and lifestyle of ultra-prime residence clients. You will be responsible of overseeing and coordinating an A La Carte menu of maintenance service provided to our residents., • You will ensure that there is an excellent communication with residents, providing prompt, professional and discreet service always and liaise with the property management team and other departments to ensure engineering services support the overall luxury experience., • You will lead and supervise a small team of maintenance engineers, ensuring adherence to safety, service, and quality standards., • You will oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs and reactive maintenance to ensure all equipment and systems are fully operational., • You will ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory engineering requirements., • You will provide technical advice and troubleshooting support to resolve complex engineering challenges and have excellent technical expertise when it comes to managing complex building systems including HVAC, pumps, chillers, BMS, lifts, plumbing and public health systems., • You will also be responsible for conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining accurate documentation of all engineering systems, maintenance records, and statutory certifications, leading emergency response efforts for engineering-related incidents and ensuring compliance and proactive management of all aspects of the general safety regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022. What you’ll bring Essential Skills and Experience • Previous experience in facilities management, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role overseeing luxury properties., • Experience with pre-opening processes and project management preferred, • Exceptional leadership skills, strong technical knowledge, and a customer-centric approach., • Proven experience managing luxury residential estates, commercial buildings, or high-end hospitality environments., • Experience in managing maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors., • Strong background in health and safety, building management, and operational compliance, • Excellent knowledge of High-Risk Buildings under the Building Safety Act and understanding the role of the Principal Accountable Person (and the Accountable Person) as well as the importance of The Golden Thread., • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Property Management, or a related field., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
