Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (service and repair) £52 - £55k per annum & overtime, vehicle/ fuel card & package My client is seeking a skilled and reliable Heating Engineer to join our dedicated team at Hammersmith, St Mary's & Charing Cross Hospitals. The ideal engineer will have experience in maintaining, repairing, and installing Low Temperature Hot Water, Medium Temperature Hot Water & Steam Systems. Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience as a heating engineer, preferably in a healthcare & commercial setting. Commercial plant room experience. Strong knowledge of various heating/ hot water systems and controls. Relevant certifications (NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Various Tasks to be carried out; Monthly PPM and reactive visits relating to plant; Heating & Hot water Calorifiers, Plate Heat Exchangers. Removing bundles from calorifiers to allow inspection/ de-scaling. Upgrading system components; gauges, safety valves etc. Replacement of key system components on various system; Pumps, motorised valves, modulators, slam shuts, plate packs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections and servicing of all heating systems to ensure optimal performance. Respond quickly to heating-related emergencies or system failures. Band 4 Multi-Skilled Operative (Plumber) West London £22.57 per hour (Umbrella) Ongoing Contract The Opportunity A leading healthcare organisation is looking to appoint a Multi-Skilled Operative (Plumber) to join its Estates team, supporting a diverse portfolio of sites across West London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumber looking for a varied role within a large and complex estate, carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance works while developing additional multi-trade skills. What You'll Be Doing Carrying out reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance on plumbing and heating systems Diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs to mechanical and building services equipment Completing minor installation and maintenance works Supporting the maintenance of hot and cold water systems Working alongside contractors and other engineering trades Recording maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements Travelling between sites as required Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota when required What We're Looking For NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds, apprenticeship, or equivalent plumbing qualification Experience working on plumbing and heating systems Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Good communication skills and a proactive approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence Experience within healthcare, commercial, or large estates environments desirable What's on Offer £22.57 per hour (Umbrella) Ongoing contract Diverse and varied workload Opportunity to develop wider maintenance skills Supportive and professional engineering team
