What You’ll Be Doing • Working to strict HSE standards, ensuring all hot-work and site activities are carried out safely, • Producing high-quality fabrication and welds in line with BS EN ISO 9001, ASME IX, BS EN, CE and customer specifications, • Interpreting detailed engineering drawings and assembling products in line with technical requirements, • Managing fabrication and weld documentation to CE standards, • Supporting production to meet project timescales and customer expectations, • Operating a range of equipment safely, including weld sets, grinders, cranes and forklifts (LOLER compliant), • Leading team members where required and contributing to effective planning, workflow, and resource use, • Conducting testing to assigned standards, • Working on storage tanks and associated projects to API and EEMUA standards, • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Plater/Welder role, • Strong understanding of API and EEMUA standards, • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, • Proven experience in fabrication, mechanical assembly, and coded welding, • Comfortable working independently and taking a lead role within a team, • Confident meeting strict deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality, • Competent in English, Maths, and basic IT systems, • Full UK driving licence, • Right to work in the UK, • Willingness to work overtime as required, • Flexibility to work off-site, including occasional travel to other locations

Power Mechanical Engineer £60k - £65k plus car bonus pension Key Responsibilities • Lead and contribute to mechanical asset optimisation projects across England, including supporting planned and unplanned outages., • Provide expert mechanical engineering advice across heat and power assets, auxiliary plant, and mechanical pipework systems., • Support the development and delivery of risk-based maintenance strategies and ensure compliance with PSSR and national standards., • Assist with mechanical and boiler maintenance contract management, including technical input into procurement and contractor performance reviews., • Define and deliver mechanical engineering solutions to improve asset performance within defined project budgets and objectives., • Act as a Technical Authority for mechanical asset governance, supporting the update of IMS documents and safety rules., • Collaborate closely with O&M teams, Design teams, and other teams to foster a culture of Process Safety and continuous improvement., • Support incident investigations, Panels of Inquiry, and lessons learned exercises across Renewables sites., • Ensure all work is aligned with financial standards and procurement principles. What we need from you • A relevant Mechanical Engineering degree, HNC, or equivalent., • Significant experience with boilers and auxiliary mechanical plant in the power or heat generation sectors., • Strong working knowledge of PSSR regulations and SAFed guidance for steam and hot water boilers., • Proven experience delivering engineering projects and working within multi-disciplinary teams., • Ability to diagnose operational problems, develop innovative solutions, and manage contracts., • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills., • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce clear reports., • Business financial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
