Are you an experienced M&E Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We are currently working with a reputable council in Surrey who are seeking a skilled and dynamic M&E Surveyor to join their Housing Asset Team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and compliance of M&E components across the council’s housing stock, while working in a collaborative and customer-focused environment. The role is for an initial 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension and potential to become permanent. Key Responsibilities: * Be the primary surveying resource for all M&E elements within the Housing Asset Team, covering gas, electrical systems, fire alarms, emergency lighting, water hygiene, lifts, and more. * Manage contractors by monitoring their performance and ensuring adherence to servicing and maintenance schedules. * Chair contractor meetings and oversee delivery of M&E repairs and planned works, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. * Assist with pre-validation surveys and advise on capital investment works. * Provide a customer-centric service to residents, addressing complaints, managing expectations, and ensuring their needs are met. * Oversee the creation of detailed specifications for contractors, ensuring clarity and quality in the delivery of services. * Ensure all work complies with relevant M&E regulations a...
