Alternative Provision Teacher \n\n • Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only\n, • Location: Cambridgeshire\n, • Salary Range: £32,000 - £36,000\n\n We are seeking an Alternative Provision Teacher to plan and deliver 1:1 and small group sessions to pupils who struggle to access mainstream education due to SEN, SEMH, medical needs, or while awaiting a specialist school setting. This role requires a dedicated professional who can create and implement tailored educational and therapeutic sessions. \n Day-to-day of the role: \n\n • Plan, prepare, and deliver a range of academic and therapeutic sessions, evaluating these activities to inform future learning and meet the diverse needs and interests of each child.\n, • Provide learning opportunities tailored to the needs, abilities, and developmental stage of each student, aiming to give every student the chance to experience success and reach their full potential.\n, • Establish effective and positive relationships with students based on mutual respect and recognition of each student's individuality and cultural identity.\n, • Work as part of a committed team, teaching pupils at various locations throughout Cambridgeshire.\n, • Maintain individual records for each child to monitor and track progress, serving as a tool for planning and assessment.\n, • Collaborate closely with schools, parents/carers, and multi-agency teams.\n, • Act as a key worker/lead tutor for a small group of students, supporting their pastoral welfare.\n, • Attend and participate in meetings and professional development training to stay updated with educational trends and regulations.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Experience in delivering tailored educational programs to students with SEN, SEMH, or similar needs.\n, • Ability to create and evaluate therapeutic and educational sessions.\n, • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.\n, • Commitment to professional development and staying informed on educational regulations and best practices.\n, • Experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.\n\n Benefits: \n\n • £1,000 Refer a Friend bonus\n, • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme\n, • Death in Service benefit\n, • Independent Mortgage Advice\n, • Opportunities for training and development\n, • Performance bonus (up to 5% of salary)\n\n To apply for the Alternative Provision Teacher position, please submit your CV and cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in this role.
