About Us Crowthorne Spice is a brand-new Indian restaurant opening soon in the heart of Crowthorne, Berkshire. Our vision is to serve authentic, bold-flavoured curries with exceptional consistency and presentation. We are now recruiting a talented Curry Chef to lead our gravy and curry section. Key Responsibilities Prepare base gravies in bulk (Makhani, Korma, Masala, Saag, Coconut, etc.) Cook and finish a wide range of curries (Chicken, Lamb, Prawn, Paneer & Veg) Maintain consistency of taste, quality, and portion size Oversee junior kitchen staff and ensure proper hygiene & kitchen standards Manage stock control, spice levels, and wastage Collaborate with management on menu development Requirements Minimum 2–5 years experience as Curry Chef / Tandoori Chef in a professional Indian kitchen Ability to work under pressure during peak hours Strong understanding of authentic North & South Indian curries Team player with good communication and time management Must hold valid work eligibility in the UK

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Baristas/Waiters/Waitresses to help us deliver an exceptional coffee and dining experience in our newly opening health conscious coffee shop. You will be at the face of our coffee shop, responsible for providing outstanding service, preparing beverages with care, and ensuring guests feel welcome from the moment they step through the door. Key Responsibilities: • Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude and provide outstanding service, • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, smoothies, and other beverages following our menu, • Take customer orders and deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tables, counters, and equipment, • Ensure all food and drink presentation meets our high-quality standards, • Assist with stocking, inventory management, and ensuring products are fresh and well-displayed, • Handle payments accurately and efficiently, • Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all customers, • Educate customers on our healthy offerings and provide recommendations based on their preferences Qualifications & Skills: • Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role (preferred but not required), • Passion for coffee, healthy food, and customer service, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Friendly, energetic, and a team player, • Food Safety and Hygiene certifications (a plus)

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic staff member to join our fish and chip shop team. This dual-role position involves both food preparation/cooking and customer service responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking • Prepare and cook fresh fish (cod, haddock, plaice, etc.) using traditional battering and frying techniques, • Cook chips to perfection, ensuring consistent quality and proper cooking temperatures, • Prepare other menu items including pies, sausages, chicken, and mushy peas, • Maintain proper food storage and rotation procedures, • Monitor oil temperature and quality, changing when necessary, • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met, • Clean and maintain cooking equipment and fryers Customer Service • Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately, • Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items, • Operate cash register and handle payments (cash, card, contactless), • Wrap and package orders efficiently and attractively, • Maintain clean and organized serving area, • Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary, • Upsell additional items and promote daily specials General Duties • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, dining area, and equipment, • Stock supplies and ingredients as needed, • Follow health and safety regulations at all times, • Assist with opening and closing procedures, • Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods, • Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards Required Qualifications • Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred but not essential), • Basic food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain), • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude, • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours, • Good communication skills and basic numeracy, • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25kg, • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Desirable Skills • Experience with traditional fish and chip preparation, • Knowledge of food safety regulations, • Cash handling experience, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Problem-solving skills for busy service periods Working Conditions • Fast-paced kitchen and service environment, • Exposure to hot oil and cooking equipment, • Standing for extended periods, • Variable hours including evenings and weekends, • Uniform provided What We Offer • Competitive hourly wage, • Staff meals during shifts, • Training and development opportunities, • Friendly, supportive team environment, • Flexible scheduling where possible, • Opportunity for advancement within the business How to Apply Please submit your CV.
