Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist – full time, within the Getting More Help North CAMHS team in Oxfordshire, part of a well‑resourced multidisciplinary team. The role requires delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care and leading clinical development across the patch and in medical education. • Provide senior medical input and clinical leadership to the Getting More Help North team., • Be responsible for patients assessed directly and those seen by medical staff under your supervision., • Assess new cases and manage their caseload in partnership with other clinicians., • Support and develop evidence‑based practice and evaluation within the team., • Liaise effectively with other services and agencies (education and social care)., • Manage mental health crises, including use of the Mental Health Act where appropriate., • Support and enable appropriate admission and discharge of patients from inpatient units., • Assess new routine, urgent and emergency referrals from other agencies alongside other clinicians., • Provide consultation to non‑medical clinicians and offer ongoing management for patients requiring longer‑term care., • Contribute to the Post Assessment clinic consultation slot., • Contribute to Locality Peer Supervision., • Support the induction of the Clinical Team and Medical Team., • Take part in the locality Duty Medic rota., • Attend the locality Medical Team Meeting and Clinically Team Meeting., • Lead staff training, regularly offer teaching slots in the Breakfast Teaching Slot., • Contribute to the Supervision Tree and lead on supervising Medical Trainees., • Complete Routine, Urgent, Emergency and MHA Assessments., • Attend routine and urgent Multi‑Agency patient planning meetings with other agencies., • MB CS or equivalent medical qualification., • Fully registered with the GMC and licensed to practice at appointment., • Included on the GMC Specialist Register, or to be on the register within six months., • Approved clinician status or ability to achieve within three months of appointment., • Approved under S12 or ability to achieve within three months., • GuidanceScore qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management, MRCPsych., • Excellent knowledge in the specialty and clinical skills using a bio‑psycho‑social perspective., • Capacity to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty., • Academic skills, able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training., • Experience in research or service evaluation, and participation in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes., • Relocation allowance up to £8,000 for external applicants (subject to eligibility)., • Flexible working practices supported., • 33 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 35 days with continuous service., • NHS discount across a wide range of shops, restaurants and retailers., • Competitive pension scheme., • Lease car scheme., • Cycle‑to‑work scheme., • Employee Assistance Programme., • Mental Health First Aiders., • Staff accommodation (subject to waiting lists)., • Staff networking and support groups hosted by the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
