Key Responsibilities: • Availability Modelling: Develop and maintainReliability Block Diagrams(RBDs) and math models to predict platform and system availability against MoD targets within a Submarine environment., • Risk &Failure Analysis: Support or Lead FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) workshops to identify single points of failure and recommend design mitigations., • Reliability andMaintainability(R&M): Generating claims and arguments for R&M performance predictions and substantiating these with evidence in accordance with strict MoD regulations/standards., • Stakeholder Interface: Serve as the strategic interface between design, supply chain, and the customer to negotiate data-driven trade-offs that balance technical reliability with operational availability and through-life cost, • Degree or equivalent in Systems, Mechanical, ElectricalEngineering, or related discipline., • Understanding of the use of R&M domain metrics such as availability, failure rate,Mean Time Between Failure(MTBF), Mean Time to Failure (MTTF), Mean Active Repair Time (MART)., • Experience in reliability modelling techniques such asFault Tree Analysis,Reliability Block Diagrams, and Markov Modelling., • Knowledge of R&M theories such as Boolean algebra; Bayesian statistics;Monte Carlo simulationprocesses., • Have worked in highly regulated product orientated industry (e.g., aerospace, nuclear, maritime, oil and gas etc.), • GoodCommunication skills- Makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed., • Have an awareness of S1000D and how R&M interacts with technical publications. xrnqpay, • Have worked in or with UK Defence, specifically as part of a Delivery Team or worked with MoD Equipment Delivery Teams as an industry partner., • Familiarity with Def Stan 00-600 (ILS) and Def Stan 00-40/42 (AR&M)

Job Description As aMaintenance Task Analysis(MTA) Engineer, you will be supporting the supportability MTA activity for complex maritime systems, specifically UK Defence submarines. You will work as part of an extended team for the customer to ensure that the submarines systems can be maintained efficiently, safely, and with the correct resources. You will be working across several stakeholders and functions, taking raw engineering data and transforming it into the structured maintenance logic that will feed S1000DTechnical Publicationsand Spares Provisioning teams. Key Responsibilities: • Risk: Escalation and recording of Risks to ensure mitigating actions are captured in the ILS Risk Register., • Task Step Breakdown: Develop logical, step-by-step procedures for the removal, installation, and repair of components to enable the production of Maintenance Task Instructions (MTI) outputs., • Personnel & Skill Mapping: Determine the number of tradesmen, trade specialisms (e.g., ME, WE) and man-hours required for each task to inform the Navys manpower requirements.
