Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical biased) \n Location: CorbySalary: £55 000 + Shift Allowance + On-Call Allowance + BenefitsShift Pattern: Rotating shifts (Days, Afternoons & Nights) \n We are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice-trained engineer to join a highly automated production environment where safety, continuous improvement and engineering excellence are at the heart of operations. \n The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting production, and driving improvements across site equipment and processes. \n The Role \n As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include: \n\n • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities\n, • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment\n, • Supporting production teams to maximise machine uptime and efficiency\n, • Fault finding on PLC, HMI, SCADA and control systems\n, • Completing maintenance records accurately through the CMMS system\n, • Assisting with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions\n, • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance\n, • Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures\n, • Working with contractors and reviewing permits and safe systems of work where required\n, • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and food-safe engineering practices\n\n About You \n To be considered for this role, you will ideally have: \n Essential \n\n • Apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer\n, • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering\n, • Food manufacturing or FMCG experience\n, • Experience within a manufacturing environment\n, • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills\n, • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, DCS or SCADA systems\n, • Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques\n, • Experience using a CMMS maintenance management system\n, • Familiarity with instrument calibration activities\n, • Strong problem-solving and communication skills\n\n Desirable \n\n • HNC or HND in Engineering\n, • 17th/18th Edition Electrical Qualification\n, • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification\n, • Experience working in COMPEX, CHP or ETP environments\n, • Experience managing contractors\n\n Shift Pattern \n This position operates on a rotating shift pattern: \n\n • 6:00am to 2:00pm\n, • 8:00am to 4:00pm\n, • 2:00pm to 10:00pm\n, • 10:00pm to 6:00am (Sunday to Thursday nights)\n\n You will also participate in an on-call rota of 1 weekend in 4. \n What's on Offer? \n\n • Competitive salary\n, • Shift allowance\n, • On-call allowance\n, • Company benefits package\n, • Ongoing training and development\n, • Opportunity to work within a modern manufacturing environment\n, • Long-term career progression opportunities\n\n If you're a proactive Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you. \n Apply today for immediate consideration.
