This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. THE STAGE IS SET The stage is set for something different. We don’t run conventional hotels; we build places with character and intent. As we redefine the brand and evolve our identity, we’re focused on creating spaces that feel compelling, contemporary, and truly distinctive. Locke leads with bold expression; Cove by Locke refines that same spirit into a quieter, more streamlined approach. Guests come to rest, work, or escape. Comfort is a given - great beds, hot showers, genuine service. But we aim to create moments that feel memorable and a little unexpected, bringing back the sense of mood hospitality often lost. This is our backdrop. We’re on an exciting journey step on stage and play your part. THE WORK IN YOUR HANDS Create tell-your-mates experiences that keep guests coming back Deliver warm, seamless service from welcome to payment Know the menu, take orders, and serve food and drinks with care Keep the space clean, inviting, and on-brand Handle guest queries and resolve issues with confidence and positivity Spot opportunities to upsell and grow revenue Work flexibly across different areas to support the team and business Get involved in events, activations, and creating memorable moments Champion a positive, inclusive team culture Follow brand standards, safety procedures, and hotel policies Naturally this is not intended as an exhaustive list of duties. Other duties as may be reasonably required will form part of this job description. THE FIRE YOU CARRY A natural host with a friendly, attentive approach Strong communication skills and the ability to build great relationships Confidence to influence, manage expectations, and solve problems A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment Great attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Strong organisation and multitasking skills A positive attitude and eagerness to learn A commitment to delivering consistently great service YOUR PROVEN TRACK Previous hospitality or food & beverage experience is a plus, but not essential Experience in a hotel, restaurant, café, bar, or customer-facing role is an advantage A flexible approach, including weekends and public holidays A great attitude and willingness to learn – we’ll teach you the rest Food safety certification and cash handling/POS experience are a bonus WHAT WE LOOK FOR We’re here to rethink what a modern lifestyle hotel can be. That takes pace, creativity, and people who enjoy working with purpose. If you’re comfortable with change, motivated by ideas, and focused on crafting meaningful guest experiences, you’ll do well here. We value individuals who can hold a vision, appreciate atmosphere, and want their work to have impact. Skills can be taught. Mindset can’t. There’s no single template for success here - just the right approach and willingness to grow.
