Key Responsibilities • Assist line chefs with daily preparation of Mediterranean dishes, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and mise en place., • Support KP duties, including cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and maintaining overall kitchen hygiene., • Follow correct food storage procedures, including accurate labelling, dating, rotation (FIFO), and temperature control., • Apply HACCP principles across all prep, cooking, cooling, reheating, and storage processes., • Ensure compliance with UK food hygiene laws and regulations, maintaining a safe and organised working environment., • Receive and store deliveries correctly, checking quality, freshness, and temperatures., • Follow instructions from chefs and management with precision and consistency., • Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and a strong work ethic during all shifts. Required Skills & Experience • Extensive experience working in professional kitchens, ideally with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine., • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)., • Strong understanding of HACCP, cooling and reheating procedures, cross‑contamination prevention, and allergen awareness., • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene laws, kitchen safety, and best practices., • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards., • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team., • High level of punctuality, dedication, and reliability., • Must be able to work full‑time., • Must have permission to work in the UK.
