C~urb are looking for an experienced Landscaping Assistant. Reporting to the Landscape Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintenance activities including grass cutting, hedge trimming and ground clearing. You will focus on hard and soft landscaping, including laying paths/slabs, fence erection, drainage installation, planting, turf laying and weeding. The Landscaping Assistant will be involved in the carrying out of risk assessments to ensure the health and safety of staff, customers, clients and tenants is assured at all times. You will assist with the maintenance and safe storage of all project tools, equipment and materials and contribute to the maintenance of the appropriate inventories and logbooks. The successful postholder will work in gardens, open areas, neighbourhoods, public parks, business areas and similar outdoor environments. About You As Landscaping Assistant, you will have previous experience of carrying out manual duties and have operational knowledge of the key aspects of Landscaping and Maintenance. Previous experience of working in a similar environment and an awareness of risk assessments and health and safety issues is essential to this role. You will have the ability to communicate with a wide and varied range of people on a regular basis. The Landscaping Assistant must be flexible in responding to the needs of the service, as post requirements may necessitate working out-with normal hours.
