The HB has three major hospitals providing a range of services: Morriston and Singleton hospitals in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot hospital in Baglan, Port Talbot. Mental Health and learning Disabilities services are provided both in hospital settings (Cefn Coed Hospital, Swansea Caswell clinic and Taith Newydd at Glanrhyd Bridgend) and other community settings. We also have community hospital and primary care resource centres providing clinical services outside the main hospitals. The Health Board is part of A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH), which is a partnership with Hywel Dda UHB and Swansea University. Aimed at improving the wellbeing and wealth of Southwest Wales. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide leadership and direction for general dental services to support delivery of GDS contracts and the training and management of DFTs in the DTU. In addition, the post holder will lead and manage the HB's DPAs. The post holder will also lead dental collaboratives and represent dentistry in the relevant cluster frameworks. The post holder will contribute to remodelling of care pathways to achieve better outcomes for patients and service users, with a focus on delivering care and support as close to home as possible and making best use of GDS resources and facilities. The post holder will provide clinical leadership to medical/dental staff across the Health Board working in GDS services promoting personal, professional and service development and building effective working partnerships with individuals and organisations in the local health and social care community.The post holder will support the development and delivery of effective professional performance and standards within the HB's clinical governance systems for those on the GDC register and DPL providing contracted or salaried services within SBUHB. #J-18808-Ljbffr
