We are seeking an enthusiastic Fibre (Flex) Manager to join our company. This role involves overseeing fibre installation works across South West Wales - Bridgend, Swansea, Pembrokeshire, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with network standards. The primary objective of the Flex Field Manager role is to manage and support the Fibre Flex Supervisor and engineers across Fibre Delivery on Openreach works. Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks: • To always promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering, • Working as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard., • To always promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards., • Raising and following up on non-conformance reports, to ensure that any actions identified, pursued, and resolved., • Work safely and responsibly within MJ Quinn’s values and operational policies, procedures, and accepted behaviours to avoid harm to yourself, those around you and our neighbours and communities., • Accurate reporting of Spine & Build progress to the Senior Operations Manager and customer., • Attend meetings (mainly conference calls) with internal and external stakeholders., • Continuously working to improve efficiencies and process to ensure that build is completed in the most cost-effective manner., • Ensuring that all engineers accreditations are kept up to date and relevant to the job role., • Weekly review & capture of KPI data to manage crews’ performance., • Daily engagement with the planning team to ensure delivery is executed on site in line with the THP build programme as agreed with the client., • Ensure that all relevant TRR techniques are used, and all attempts are made to avoid civils prior to submitting A55, • Ensure that any survey submitted meet the OR 650 policy standards, • To ensure TM requirements & compliance is managed across all Fibre activities as required., • Ensuring the timely and accurate flow of information/documentation between the Planner and the Subcontractors / DL resource., • Ensuring a robust auditing regime is carried out in line with MJQ Quality team., • Ensuring all Fibre activities are accurately invoiced in conjunction with the Fibre Manager / Commercial team., • To ensure all defects are rectified in a timely manner as per customers guidelines., • To work closely with the Spine Manager to ensure delivery & compliance across all aspects of the contract., • Any ad-hoc duties as requested by the line manager. Relationships To be effective in this role the Flex Field Manager will need to: • Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams., • Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team., • Communicate effectively with all other departments., • Weekly measurements with clients completed with supporting documentation supplied to the PMO., • Deliver quality service to the client ensuring that performance standards and contractual KPI’s and SLAs are met., • Communicate closely and provide timely and accurate periodical reports to PMO defining projects progress, problems, and solutions. Personal Specification To be successful in this role the Fibre (Flex) Manager will: • Hold a full driving license help for a minimum of 12 months with no more than 6 points., • Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities., • Enjoy a challenge, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels., • Have a high standard of numeracy., • Be educated to a G.C.S.E level B+ in Mathematics & English (or equivalent)., • Be computer literate., • Have strong written and verbal communication skills., • Have a strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement., • Can prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations., • Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work., • DBS check to be completed prior to start date., • A legal right to work in the UK. Desired Experience & Qualifications: • Experience in a similar role previously, • Management experience, • Experience within the Telecommunications industry required.
