Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Job reference Number: 911964-7250-25294 Industry Sector: Hot Water Cylinders, Air Source Heat Pumps, Regional House Builders, Property Developers, M&E Contractors, Heating Installers, Plumbing Contractors and Plumbing & Heating Merchants Area to be covered: South West & South Wales Remuneration: £38,000-£46,000. + £10,000-£15,000 Uncapped Commission Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car & Full Benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating will involve: • Field sales role selling a manufactured range of hot water cylinders and air source heat pumps, • Four and a half days a week on the road field sales role, remainder of time making appointments and doing associated paperwork, • 90% Domestic focussed, 10% commercial, • 50% of your time selling through regional plumbing & heating contractors/ one man installers as well as regional house builder, • 50% of time account managing circa 100 plumbing and heating merchants such as Plumb Base, Grahams, Plumb Stores, City Plumbing Supplies and Wolseley, • Responsible for an area with a circa £5m turnover, • 70% account management, 30% new business development, • Average order values for heat pumps £3,000, £500-£1,000 for cylinders The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating with: • A proven field sales track record within the plumbing & heating market, • Sold to plumbing & heating contractors, heating installers or regional house builders, • Plumbing & heating merchant customer experience is not essential, • 12 months+ field sales experience, but may look at merchant sales person with significant experience with plumbing & heating contractors, heating installers or regional house builders experience, • Water heating/ cylinders or air source heat pump sales experience would be ideal, • Strong interpersonal skills, • Must be well organised with a desire to win business The Company: • Est. Role: Senior National Account Manager - Grocery Location: Remote/Home Based Job Type: Full-Time (Hybrid) Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits package The founder of this rapid growth challenger brand has been on an epic journey so far. Originally starting out by making a range of plant based beverages at home, their fridge quickly became rather too full for that to work anymore. Fast forward, and the business now produces and packs at scale at its own manufacturing facility in the North West, having gained listings in major national grocers (inc Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose, Booths) along the way. The brand is uniquely positioned to disrupt the traditional dairy and dairy alternative market with its fresh and eco-friendly offerings. But now comes the really fun part: breaking out of start-up mode into a fully-fledged SME and beyond. Could you be the specialist Grocery expert with the brand building mindset and experience to guide this business through the challenges and opportunities of hyper growth? You’ll get a salary from £65-£75k dependent on experience, along with a car allowance and bonus. This is a home based role. That said, if you like the buzz of being office based, and want to commute to the North West office, then you are of course very welcome on site. What you’ll be doing: Reporting into the Commercial Director, you’ll take ownership full ownership of key grocery accounts across the UK, helping the brand to shine in stores and on shoppers’ shelves. You’ll be the person driving sales, building strong partnerships, and spotting opportunities to make the products even more visible and accessible. It’s a mix of strategic planning and hands-on execution. One day you might be negotiating a new listing or promotional plan, the next you’re working with marketing to create something brilliant for in-store activation. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that loves fresh thinking and celebrates big wins together. About you: You’ll already have solid experience managing Top 4 grocery accounts in the UK (essential), ideally with a chilled or challenger brand - those with this experience should be able to transition swiftly. You’re commercially sharp, confident in negotiation, and great at building relationships that last. You love using data and insight to guide decisions, but you also bring warmth, curiosity and a real “let’s make it happen” attitude.
