Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Job reference Number: 911964-7250-25294 Industry Sector: Hot Water Cylinders, Air Source Heat Pumps, Regional House Builders, Property Developers, M&E Contractors, Heating Installers, Plumbing Contractors and Plumbing & Heating Merchants Area to be covered: South West & South Wales Remuneration: £38,000-£46,000. + £10,000-£15,000 Uncapped Commission Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car & Full Benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating will involve: • Field sales role selling a manufactured range of hot water cylinders and air source heat pumps, • Four and a half days a week on the road field sales role, remainder of time making appointments and doing associated paperwork, • 90% Domestic focussed, 10% commercial, • 50% of your time selling through regional plumbing & heating contractors/ one man installers as well as regional house builder, • 50% of time account managing circa 100 plumbing and heating merchants such as Plumb Base, Grahams, Plumb Stores, City Plumbing Supplies and Wolseley, • Responsible for an area with a circa £5m turnover, • 70% account management, 30% new business development, • Average order values for heat pumps £3,000, £500-£1,000 for cylinders The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating with: • A proven field sales track record within the plumbing & heating market, • Sold to plumbing & heating contractors, heating installers or regional house builders, • Plumbing & heating merchant customer experience is not essential, • 12 months+ field sales experience, but may look at merchant sales person with significant experience with plumbing & heating contractors, heating installers or regional house builders experience, • Water heating/ cylinders or air source heat pump sales experience would be ideal, • Strong interpersonal skills, • Must be well organised with a desire to win business The Company: • Est.
