TechOps Engineer (NPPV required) £50,000–£60,000 + bonus + benefits Crewe, Cheshire (Hybrid - 3 days in office) Permanent | Full-time DCS Technology are for a TechOps Engineer to join an established and forward-thinking IT Infrastructure team, supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving a complex and dynamic IT environment. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of the company’s cloud and on-premises infrastructure, collaborating closely with development and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient systems. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and infrastructure optimisation within a modern, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: • Automate infrastructure tasks including environment builds, scaling, self-healing, monitoring, and patching using modern tools and scripts., • Support and maintain the organisation’s AWS infrastructure, ensuring availability and performance., • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deliver and support their infrastructure requirements., • Contribute to the design and build of cloud-based solutions that prioritise scalability, cost efficiency, and security., • Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure technologies and ensure all system changes follow change management processes., • Ensure systems and environments comply with internal controls, security policies, and best practices. Key Skills & Experience: • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, • Hands-on experience with container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker, • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, Route53, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch, • Scripting skills in Python and Bash, • Understanding of Linux systems and database technologies (e.g., Ubuntu, Apache, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Nginx), • Experience in planning and executing system integrations and migrations, • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, particularly alongside software development and DevOps functions, • Awareness of IT Security fundamentals and best practices, • Familiarity with Service Management disciplines, ideally using the ITIL framework, • Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable with a keen interest in emerging technologies and cloud trends What you get in return: • £50,000–£60,000 per annum + bonus + benefits, • Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 from home), • Opportunities for professional development and training, • Collaborative, inclusive environment with a focus on innovation, • Modern cloud-first tech stack and hands-on exposure to AWS architecture
