Job Title: Risk Supervisor (Remortgages) Location: Manchester - Hybrid Working Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE + Bonus Are you passionate about quality controls, compliance, and guiding teams toward excellence? We’re looking for a Risk Supervisor to join our growing legal services division. In this role, you’ll be a key gatekeeper, ensuring operational integrity, mitigating risk, and supporting colleagues across the business from file-level checks to process improvements. You’ll be working with remortgage and conveyancing files, carrying out title reviews, audit checks, and quality assessments, all while mentoring more junior staff and collaborating with various internal stakeholders to elevate standards. What You’ll Be Doing • Review files and complete sign-offs to confirm readiness for completion and compliance with legal and regulatory standards, • Cross-check legal documentation (e.g., title documents vs. lender requirements) and advise case managers on remedial steps, • Execute internal audits and file reviews to monitor adherence to internal policies, • Stay current with financial sector rules (e.g. UK Finance guidelines) and professional codes of conduct, • Monitor operational metrics and evidence of actions taken to maintain regulatory alignment, • Propose and support enhancements to processes, quality frameworks, and training approaches, • Provide coaching, guidance, and oversight to more junior team members, • Work closely with leadership to roll out new quality initiatives, • Perform any additional compliance or risk-related tasks as needed by the business What You Bring • Previous experience in remortgage case management, conveyancing, or a compliance-heavy legal operations role, • Qualifications not essential, • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with complex legal / regulatory material, • Analytical mindset: capable of spotting trends, issues, and process gaps, • Solid communication skills: able to explain risks and required corrective steps clearly, • Organisational prowess: managing multiple audits, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously, • Capability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and professional integrity, • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, • A proactive attitude to learning, growth, and continuous improvement What You’ll Get in Return • Competitive salary package (with performance-related incentives), • Hybrid working flexibility, • Additional annual leave, • Professional development and training opportunities, • Employee benefits including discounts, social activities, and referral schemes, • A supportive, values-driven culture focused on people, innovation, and excellence
