THE ROLE OF CHEF DE PARTIE We are seeking highly motivated Chef de Parties to join our kitchen team at Maxime's. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Working with the freshest, high-quality ingredients and assisting senior chefs in the preparation and execution of quality dishes., • Assisting with daily mise en place and supporting the kitchen team in delivering refined dishes in line with fine dining service standards, • Maintaining the highest standards for health, sanitation, and safety standards necessary in food handling and overall cleanliness. I’m looking for a chef to lead a small restaurant that I’m opening in the next month .. I prefer they specialize in (Soul Food) and Caribbean food .. Also Breakfast foods pancakes waffles etc .. need to know how to work commercial stove grill etc/ needs to be organized and experienced in prepping food and may need to work 7 days a week but just for the beginning , I plan on having two chefs ..pay starts between 17-20 hourly depending on your skills , experience and depending on if you went to school.. must be reliable trustworthy and able to listen to directions or criticism without being in your feelings .. and just not how to Cook !! I mean really Cook !!! My focus is providing good food n a clean healthy environment and working with good people who I can depend on .. I hate drama and don’t need any extra headaches , I’m quick to part ways once there’s drama .. must be clean , and must be aware of how you prepare food … I hate going into restaurants and seeing people preparing food in a dirty environment , touching things you shouldn’t be touching while dealing with food or not having on gloves .. people watch that and so do I ..I don’t want to waste anyone’s time so if you aren’t what I’m looking for i rather us not waste each others time .. there’s a lot of people applying but none saying they can cook the type of food we’re specializing in ..

Prep Cook With popular locations throughout China, our first American Grandma's Home brings the same casual approach to regional Chinese cuisine stateside, with a new location in the central Manhattan neighborhood of Flatiron. The Prep cook follows our recipes and makes each prep dish efficiently and consistently. The Prep Cook works with the rest of the kitchen team to maintain proper food handling practices and ensures each dish come out perfect. • Setting up proper Mise stations for service, • Check quality of delivered items to reject incorrect ingredients, • Prep necessary ingredients for dishes, • Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, • Ensure proper usage of equipment and tools, • Practice proper care and safety standards, • Portioning of items for service The candidate must have • Basic knife skills, protein break down, and vegetable cutting, • Previous roles as cook/prep cook/delivery receiver, • Proficient knowledge of proper DOH food handling practices, • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
