Job DescriptionIMMEDIATE HIRING FOR WAREHOUSE WORKER - 2ND SHIFT - $19/HOUR Job Description This role supports a busy distribution facility that manufactures automotive parts by performing shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties on the 2nd shift. You will handle incoming and outgoing materials, use RF scanners and rolling stairs to pick orders, and ensure products are accurately packaged and prepared for shipment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Receive, inspect, and restock inventory, including dispatch and overstock materials., • Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently., • Break down boxes and package items securely for shipment., • Use rolling stairs, order pickers, and RF scanners to locate, pick, and fulfill orders., • Pick automotive parts from various shelf heights using rolling safety ladders ranging from approximately 7 to 15 steps., • Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and documentation., • Assist warehouse supervisors and team members with daily operational tasks as needed., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including basic cleaning and housekeeping tasks., • Operate pallet jacks to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse., • Follow all safety procedures while working with equipment, on ladders, and around moving machinery., • Work 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime of up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays., • Utilize RF scanners consistently for receiving, picking, and inventory tasks., • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations. Essential Skills • Experience performing general labor in a warehouse or distribution environment., • Hands-on experience with order picking and packing using RF scanners., • Ability to safely use pallet jacks for loading, unloading, and moving materials., • Capability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds., • Comfort working on rolling safety ladders of approximately 5–7 steps and, when needed, up to 15-foot stair ladders for shipping tasks., • Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods during the shift., • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat as required by warehouse tasks., • Ability to speak, read, and write in English to follow instructions and complete documentation., • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety., • Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated to complete assigned tasks., • Willingness and availability to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience with RF scanners for order picking, receiving, and inventory control., • Experience in automotive parts distribution or manufacturing environments., • Experience with order picking, packing, loading, unloading, and general warehouse cleaning., • Interest in learning and operating forklifts after direct hire, with training provided by the company., • Strong attention to detail when handling orders and packaging shipments., • Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality. Work Environment This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime of up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturday work. The warehouse environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with frequent lifting, walking, and climbing. The noise level is usually high due to forklifts and other machinery operating throughout the facility. You will regularly use RF scanners, rolling stairs, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. The dress code requires a plain shirt without logos for alcohol or similar products, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes to support a safe and professional appearance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
