Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Accounting Associate to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills across multiple accounting functions while contributing to a company that values both precision and personality. Reporting to the Controller, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our financial operations and supporting our mission of delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities In this position, you will manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. You'll process payroll for our team, maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. Expense report completion and reconciliation will be part of your regular duties, along with assisting the Controller with month-end close activities, financial reporting, and special projects as assigned. You'll maintain accurate financial records and documentation while supporting various accounting functions as business needs evolve. Required Qualifications We're looking for someone with an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong computer skills are essential, particularly proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). You should have solid attention to detail and organizational abilities, along with excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is important. Most critically, you should bring a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for being part of a service-oriented team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a significant plus. Prior experience in hospitality, events, entertainment, or service-oriented businesses and previous exposure to payroll processing, AP/AR functions, or general ledger accounting would be beneficial.
