Job Description Job Title: Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled TIG welder fabricator to join our final assembly department. You will report directly to the Welding Supervisor and Plant Manager, collaborating with a team of 10 other welders. Your primary responsibility will involve fabricating machined parts, mainly performing horizontal TIG welding with some MIG welding tasks. You will also use hand tools to finish rough edges on stainless steel or aluminum parts, requiring proficiency in reading client-specific blueprints for short-run production. Shift: 2nd shift Responsibilities • Perform TIG welding (95%) and MIG welding (5%) in multiple positions., • Oversee and support all TIG welding and final assembly tasks., • Use hand tools such as angle grinders and sanders to finish parts., • Utilize equipment like tube benders, drill presses, and saws as necessary., • Minimum of 10 years of TIG stainless steel experience, including welding on thin stainless steel (14 gauge)., • Fabrication and assembly experience., • Proficiency with machine shop tools (lathe, Bridgeport, saw, grinders, etc.)., • Pipefitting experience. Work Environment Our facility is dedicated to the manufacturing and assembly of pathology, histology, necropsy, and morgue equipment. We maintain a clean working environment with a friendly and cooperative atmosphere. The dress code includes working attire with steel toe boots, a welding helmet, and gloves. The team consists of 84 employees, including 10 welders, working together to transform raw materials into finished products under one roof. We operate multiple departments, including Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving, ensuring a comprehensive production process from design to delivery. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Madison Heights, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $56000.00/yr.
