Job Description Role: Engagement Manager - Product Analytics Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: 2-3 days from office/ week) Compensation: $160k - $180k + 15% Bonus Role and Responsibilities: As the Product Analytics Engagement Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of product analytics strategies, focusing on instrumentation, experimentation, and actionable insights across digital products. Acting in a consulting capacity, you will partner with senior stakeholders to translate business goals into measurable outcomes, build reliable data foundations, and scale analytics solutions that drive product growth and user engagement. • Serve as the primary analytics partner for product teams, engaging with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Data., • Design and optimize product analytics frameworks (funnels, cohorts, retention, feature adoption, content tests) to drive clear business outcomes., • Define and implement tracking plans, event taxonomies, and oversee instrumentation for accurate and scalable data collection., • Ensure data quality, governance, and reliability across analytics pipelines and reporting systems., • Establish and manage test-and-learn frameworks for product features (A/B, incrementality, lift) with rigorous measurement and analysis., • Build and refine forecasting models (time-series, causal) for product usage, engagement, and growth metrics., • Create executive-ready dashboards and KPIs for product performance, health, and growth levers; recommend data-driven actions., • Partner with engineering and data teams to operationalize analytics solutions (segmentation, triggers, journeys, personalization)., • Lead analytical projects with on/offshore teams; ensure quality, timeliness, and smooth productionization of solutions., • 7+ years of experience in product analytics, consulting, solution design, and client management., • Advanced proficiency in analytics tools and programming languages (SQL, Python, R, or similar)., • Deep expertise in product instrumentation, event tracking, and data engineering for digital products., • Experience designing and analyzing experiments (A/B testing, multivariate, incrementality)., • Strong understanding of digital product metrics (activation, engagement, retention, feature adoption)., • Demonstrable leadership ability, superior problem-solving and people management skills., • Excellent communication, presentation, and story-building skills in a consulting setup., • Masters degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research, or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from top-tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply.
