Job Description Accounts Payable Clerk Position Overview Rainbow USA Inc., a leading specialty retailer headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, operates nearly 900 stores across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean under brands including Rainbow, Rainbow Plus, Rainbow Kids, 579, and Marianne’s. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented File Clerk to join our corporate Accounts Payable Department. This entry-level administrative role supports the efficient organization and management of financial documentation in a fast-paced retail environment. Primary Responsibilities • Organize, maintain, and coordinate all filing activities within the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring accurate, secure, and accessible records., • Manage the file room operations, including sorting, labeling, archiving, and retrieving documents under time-sensitive conditions., • Collaborate effectively with multiple internal departments and external vendors, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills., • Perform clerical and administrative support tasks as assigned, including data entry, scanning, copying, and assisting Accounts Payable staff., • Multitask efficiently while adapting to shifting priorities and meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervision., • Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and personnel information., • Ensure high levels of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in all tasks., • Contribute to other administrative duties as needed to support department operations. Qualifications and Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or relevant coursework preferred., • 1–3 years of related clerical, administrative, or filing experience (accounts payable or financial environment preferred)., • Highly organized, flexible, and able to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel and Word., • Excellent oral and written communication skills., • Strong ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities., • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and complete projects with limited oversight., • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a professional demeanor.
