We’re hiring a paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions, coordinating law office activity, and conducting legal research. Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly Responsibilities: • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions, • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer, • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems, • Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers, • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents, • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence, including subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, and legal briefs, • Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and conducting legal research, • Perform administrative duties, including answering phone calls and maintaining an organized case filing system, • Conduct client interviews to gather information about legal matters, • Assist attorneys with files, • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred, • At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting, • Talented communicator and writer, • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills, • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired, • 2+ years as a Family Law Paralegal in the state of Texas, • Professional paralegal certification or advanced paralegal education, • Clear, concise, and effective communication skills, as well as proficiency in writing and grammar, • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook), and familiarity with legal software, • Strong organizational and time-management skills, • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a positive attitude What Makes Kimbrough Legal the Best Place to Work: Kimbrough Legal, PLLC, provides clients in Austin, Houston, Round Rock, San Antonio, Killeen, and surrounding areas with bold, passionate legal representation for divorce and family law cases.
