Who We Are Cristo Rey Orlando High School is located in Orlando, FL, and is part of the national Cristo Rey Network. The school opened its doors to its inaugural freshmen class in the fall of 2025. Like all Cristo Rey schools, it is a Catholic, college preparatory high school for students of all faiths from families of limited financial means. The school is co-educational and serves students of diverse backgrounds. We help our students grow intellectually, academically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and morally. This Role Cristo Rey Orlando High School is seeking a mission-driven People & Culture Associate who will support the schools vision by helping maintain strong, people-centered systems across human resources and operations. This role plays an important part in supporting employees, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to a positive and organized workplace environment. Reporting to the Human Resources & Accounting Manager and working closely with the Vice President of Finance & Operations, this position combines HR support, basic accounting functions, and culture-building initiatives. It is ideal for someone who enjoys both administrative work and contributing to a collaborative, mission-driven team. Responsibilities Include: People & Culture / HR Support • Support employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance, • Assist with background checks, onboarding paperwork, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HR systems, • Support benefits administration and employee communications, • Assist with time-off tracking, personnel documentation, and general HR reporting, • Serve as a welcoming and helpful point of contact for employee questions and support, • Help manage and monitor the HR shared inbox, ensuring timely, professional, and confidential responses to employee inquiries Culture & Employee Experience • Support initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement, • Assist with planning staff events, celebrations, and recognition efforts, • Help foster a collaborative, mission-driven environment aligned with the values of Cristo Rey Accounting & Operational Support • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice tracking, payment support, and follow-up, • Support vendor management processes, including maintaining accurate vendor records, collecting W-9 forms, and gathering ACH/payment information, • Communicate with vendors as needed to request documentation, confirm details, and support timely and accurate payments, • Help manage and monitor the accounting shared inbox, ensuring timely responses, organization, and appropriate follow-up on inquiries, • Support tuition billing follow-up and general financial recordkeeping, • Maintain organized documentation for financial and operational processes, • Assist with data entry, reconciliations, and administrative support for finance functions General Administrative Support • Provide cross-functional support to the HR & Accounting Manager and VP of Finance & Operations, • Help maintain organized systems, files, and documentation across departments, • Support special projects and day-to-day operational needs as they arise Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by theHuman Resources & Accounting Manager Required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent knowledge, skills, and/or ability: • Associate or bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience, • 13 years of experience in administrative, HR support, accounting support, or operations roles, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite, • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow through independently, • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and support across functions, • Alignment with the mission and values of Cristo Rey Orlando High School Preferred Experience and Skills • Experience supporting HR processes such as onboarding, employee records, or benefits administration, • Experience with basic accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, or data entry, • Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or accounting systems (e.g., BambooHR, QuickBooks, or similar), • Experience working in a school, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization, • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, • Interest in culture-building, employee engagement, or people-focused initiatives How to Apply If you have the requested background and a passion for the mission, we invite you to apply.
