Manager, Supply Chain & Vendor Relations Hammer & Nails Grooming for Guys Work Arrangement: Hybrid - five-day workweek with four days per week in the Hammer & Nails Corporate office (Denver, CO) and one remote workday per week. Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Franchise Experience: Required. Hammer & Nails Grooming for Guys is seeking an experienced Manager, Supply Chain & Vendor Relations, to own and strengthen the supply chain and vendor relationships supporting our growing franchise network. This role touches virtually everything a Hammer & Nails Shop needs—from the barber chairs, pedicure bowls, fixtures, and equipment required to open a new Shop to the retail, back bar, and operating products our Shops need every day. The Manager, Supply Chain & Vendor Relations will serve as a key connection between Hammer & Nails Corporate, our Franchisees, suppliers, distributors, and vendor partners. We are looking for someone who doesn't simply react when a product is backordered or an equipment delivery is delayed. We want someone who anticipates challenges, develops solutions, builds strong vendor partnerships, and creates scalable supply chain processes that support our Franchisees as the Hammer & Nails network continues to grow. What You'll Own Supply Chain & Forecasting • Manage the end-to-end supply chain supporting new and existing Hammer & Nails Shops., • Ensure the consistent availability of approved retail, backbar, operating, and consumable products., • Forecast product and supply needs based on historical usage, Shop growth, new Shop openings, promotions, and business initiatives., • Monitor inventory availability, supplier lead times, backorders, discontinued products, and potential supply disruptions., • Anticipate supply chain risks and develop contingency or alternative sourcing solutions before they impact our Shops., • Analyze purchasing, inventory, pricing, freight, and supplier performance to identify opportunities to improve cost, reliability, and efficiency. Vendor & Supplier Relationships • Serve as the primary Corporate relationship for key suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and vendor partners., • Establish expectations for product availability, quality, pricing, lead times, fulfillment, communication, and service., • Build strong vendor relationships while holding partners accountable for performance., • Develop and monitor vendor performance measures including fill rates, on-time delivery, order accuracy, backorders, responsiveness, quality, and pricing., • Conduct regular business reviews with strategic suppliers., • Negotiate pricing, terms, freight arrangements, minimum-order requirements, lead times, and service expectations when appropriate., • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers as the Hammer & Nails network grows. New Shop Openings • Own the supply chain requirements associated with new Hammer & Nails Shop openings., • Coordinate with Franchisees, Project Management, Operations, and suppliers to ensure required products, equipment, furniture, fixtures, and supplies are ordered on time., • Manage long-lead-time items including barber chairs, pedicure bowls, fixtures, furnishings, and other critical equipment., • Track manufacturing and delivery timelines and identify risks before they affect construction, training, or Shop opening dates., • Continuously improve opening packages, ordering timelines, recommended quantities, and vendor onboarding processes. Franchisee Support • Serve as a trusted Corporate resource for Franchisees regarding approved products, equipment, suppliers, ordering, replenishment, and supply chain issues., • Help resolve shortages, damaged products, incorrect shipments, delayed orders, pricing discrepancies, and vendor service issues., • Proactively communicate product changes, substitutions, pricing changes, ordering deadlines, and potential supply interruptions., • Help Franchisees maintain appropriate inventory levels while being mindful of inventory investment and cash flow., • Identify recurring challenges across the network and develop scalable solutions rather than solving the same problem one Shop at a time. What We're Looking For • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, procurement, sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, distribution, or a related discipline., • Previous experience working within a franchise organization is required. Candidates should understand the Franchisor/Franchisee relationship and have experience supporting the needs of a multi-location franchise network. Ability to work a hybrid schedule requiring four days per week in the Hammer & Nails Corporate office and one remote workday per week. • Demonstrated experience managing and developing supplier and vendor relationships., • Experience with forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, procurement, replenishment, and supply continuity., • Experience supporting new store, restaurant, salon, retail, hospitality, or other location openings is highly desirable., • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with purchasing, inventory, pricing, forecasting, and vendor-performance data., • Demonstrated ability to negotiate vendor pricing, terms, service levels, and agreements., • Strong project-management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously., • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with Franchisees, vendors, Corporate leadership, and cross-functional teams., • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools., • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Qualified applicants must be able to: • Manage relationships and communicate effectively with suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, Franchisees, employees, executives, and other business partners., • Manage multiple suppliers, product categories, projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously., • Monitor inventory, product availability, supplier lead times, backorders, and other supply chain information and take appropriate action to minimize disruption., • Review and analyze purchasing, inventory, pricing, forecasting, supplier-performance, and other business information and use that information to make timely decisions., • Anticipate supply chain risks, evaluate alternatives, and coordinate solutions when products, equipment, or supplies may not be available within required timelines., • Coordinate the sourcing and timely delivery of products, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment required for new Shop openings and ongoing Shop operations., • Address and help resolve Franchisee and vendor concerns involving orders, product availability, delivery, quality, pricing, and service., • Participate effectively in vendor negotiations, business reviews, meetings, conference calls, video conferences, presentations, and other business discussions., • Effectively receive, understand, communicate, and exchange business information in a variety of in-person and remote business environments., • Use computers, phones, email, video conferencing platforms, spreadsheets, reporting tools, purchasing or inventory systems, project-management systems, and other technology necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position., • Exercise independent judgment, adjust priorities, and respond appropriately to changing business needs and time-sensitive supply chain matters., • Maintain reliable attendance and availability sufficient to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, including scheduled meetings and reasonable responsiveness to time-sensitive matters., • Appropriately handle confidential, proprietary, financial, vendor, Franchisee, pricing, purchasing, and other sensitive Company information., • Represent Hammer & Nails professionally in interactions with Franchisees, suppliers, vendors, partners, and other internal and external stakeholders. Travel This position requires periodic travel to Hammer & Nails Shops, new Shop locations, supplier/vendor facilities, meetings, conferences, and other business-related destinations.
