Position: Associate Location: New York Practice Area: M&A / Private Equity Experience Level: 4+ years Bar Admission: New York A leading international law firm is seeking experienced associates to join its M&A and Private Equity practice in New York. This role is well suited to associates with at least four years of experience advising on private equity and leveraged buyout transactions who are looking to deepen their exposure to complex, high-value deals within a top-tier transactional platform. Associates in this group work on a wide range of sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions, representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic buyers. The practice is highly deal-driven, offering strong responsibility and client exposure. Key responsibilities include: • Drafting and negotiating acquisition, merger, and investment agreements, • Advising on private equity transactions and leveraged buyouts, • Managing transaction processes and coordinating with specialist teams, • Supervising and mentoring junior associates as part of deal teams Candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills, commercial judgement, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced deal environments. Compensation: Competitive, top-of-market compensation with bonus eligibility. Base salary range for this role is $250,000 – $415,000, depending on experience, skills, and market factors.
