Job Description This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company’s income tax reporting processes and supporting corporate tax compliance activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in U.S. federal and state income tax, experience with multinational operations, and a collaborative mindset to help drive process improvements and ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations. Position Responsibilities: • Tax Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Manages and train staff to perform quarterly and annual preparation and review of income tax provision for the audited financial statements of the Company. Ensures timely delivery of consolidated income tax provisions and adjusting tax entries prepared under ASC 740 and FIN48, including forecast of tax accruals, deferred tax reconciliation, shareholder tax reporting packages and financial statement tax footnote. Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders during financial audits and tax provision reviews. Ensures all tax process control documentations, tax policies and procedures, and disclosure controls are effective, maintained, and updated in accordance with Company internal control requirements., • Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, including estimated payments and extensions. Assist with KPMG PBC requests, special tax return M-1 calculations, tax notices, tax compliance for JV entities, and internally prepared tax returns and tax certificate requests., • Tax Planning: Monitors legislative developments worldwide and maintains a good understanding of their impact to the Company’s global operation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, and Treasury to support business initiatives and transactions. May assist with R&D tax credit study, federal, state and local government grants, tax incentives programs, real property tax credit, manufacturing credits and sales tax exemptions in conjunction with the Company‘s renewed investments and expansion in operations, jobs, and research and development., • Tax Audits & Queries: Assists corporate tax audits in the U.S., researches and analyzes audit issues and controversies, and develops favorable tax positions to minimize tax liability for the Company., • Transactional Analysis: Support global tax compliance and reporting initiatives, including transfer pricing documentation and country-by-country reporting. Assists with managing legal entities’ transfer pricing analyses and maintaining/updating documentation for annual benchmarking. Ensures the transfer pricing documentation remains current with changes in the company’s and tax laws in applicable jurisdictions. May also assist with R&D cost sharing and APA preparation, transactional tax analysis and implementation of special tax projects relating to business contracts, corporate reorganizations, and M&A due diligence., • Process Innovation: Ensure tax department processes and procedures are well documented. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax reporting and compliance., • Leadership & Development: Manage and develop staff, providing guidance and support for professional growth and high-level tax management., • Train staff as needed, • Provide leadership to teams from training, directing and leading staff members., • Serve as subject matter expert for questions for the business units., • Identify, implement and drive continuous improvement on processes, • Update management on project status and related issues that need awareness or resolution., • Ensures work is aligned with the Director’s expectations, goals, and vision, • Accountable for implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results, • Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from Senior Manager/Director, • Works on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects, • Provides guidance and training to subordinates, • Has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance and recommend for termination, • Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax laws and ASC 740.
