Responsibilities • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria., • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures., • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality., • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving., • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls., • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care., • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures., • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary., • Assist with processing specimens when needed., • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent in addition to an active ASCP or AMT certification, • ASCP or AMT certification preferred, • Familiarity with laboratory information systems, • Ability to work independently and within a team environment., • High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills. This is a 4x10 schedule with the potential to accommodate a 3x12 schedule based off availability. The work environment is dynamic and may require flexibility to work overtime or other shifts based on business needs. The role involves maintaining a safe workspace with personal protective equipment to ensure safety. The laboratory setting is equipped with advanced instrumentation to support efficient operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Round Rock, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.20 - $33.20/hr.
