This role has clear people-leadership accountability and platform ownership, with a strong emphasis on Product Information Management (PIM) excellence and best-in-class discovery tooling. This role owns the vision and operational rigor behind product data architecture, product models, taxonomy, and enrichment across CITY Furniture ensuring product data is accurate, scalable, and optimized to power browse, search, filters, recommendations, and emerging AI-driven discovery experiences. The Senior Manager of Product Discovery serves as the internal subject-matter expert for search, browse, and recommendations, setting standards and best practices for how product data and discovery platforms work together. Leading a dedicated product discovery and PIM-focused team, this role partners closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Content, UX, Digital Product and Technology to translate business strategy into high-performing discovery experiences that drive engagement, conversion, and revenue growth. This role blends deep platform expertise, strong people-leadership, and a customer-first mindset to scale discovery capabilities today while preparing the organization for future innovation. Position Title: eCommerce Senior Manager of Product Discovery Location: Hybrid - Tamarac Corporate Office Reports to: Director or eCommerce Department/Sub-Department: Marketing/ Digital Commerce Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 What You’ll Do… As an eCommerce Senior Manager of Product Discovery, your primary responsibilities will be: • Product Discovery & Ownership – Leads the end-to-end strategy for onsite product discovery, including browse experiences, category structures, navigation, filters, sort logic, search relevance, and discovery-related content. Owns the vision for how product data and discovery platforms work together to support customer intent. Partners with Merchandising and Digital Experience team to ensure category and product-level experiences are intuitive, scalable, and aligned to how customers shop for furniture, mattresses, appliances, and home décor. Leads the ongoing vendor management for PIM and discovery tools., • Team Leadership & Capability Building – Builds, leads, and mentors a high-performing Product Discovery and PIM team, both onshore and offshore as applicable. Clearly defines roles, responsibilities, and success metrics for discovery, taxonomy, and PIM-focused team members. Establishes scalable workflows, standard work, and governance for product data management, enrichment, and discovery optimization. Coaches team members to become subject-matter experts in discovery technologies., • Data Reporting and Insights – Leverages analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Unbxd analytics, PIM reporting, behavioral analytics) to evaluate discovery and product data performance at the category, collection, and product level. Develops reporting frameworks and insights that inform merchandising decisions, content strategy, and UX improvements. Conducts competitive research to stay ahead of ecommerce discovery, PIM, and taxonomy best practices., • PIM Strategy, Data Architecture & Product Models – Owns the PIM strategy and data architecture including product models, variant structures, attributes, families, and enrichment workflows for both CITY Furniture and City Home. Ensures product data models are future-proofed to support new categories, marketplaces, omnichannel use cases, and advanced discovery features. Establishes governance and quality standards to ensure product data accuracy, consistency, and usability across all digital touchpoints., • Personalization & Intelligent Discovery – Partners with Marketing, UX, and Technology to plan and evolve intelligent discovery experiences powered by high-quality product data and behavioral signals. Supports the roadmap for AI-driven search, recommendations, guided selling, and adaptive browse experiences that improve relevance and customer confidence., • Additional duties may be assigned as needed, beyond those listed in the responsibilities.
