Job Description Product Distribution Specialist (PDS) La-Mar-Ka, a subsidiary of AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Baton Rouge, LA, has an immediate opening for a Product Distribution Specialist (PDS). The Product Distribution Specialist is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate delivery and stocking of products and laboratory supplies directly to customer locations. Deliveries are daytime only and are throughout southern Louisianna and eastern Texas. Our customers are primarily in the petrochemical and commercial water treatment industries. This role combines professional driving, product loading/handling with inventory management and exceptional customer care to ensure optimal product availability. Requires the ability to operate a company owned single axle utility box truck (13,000 lbs.) with a valid Class C CDL. Must be in full compliance with DOT, state, and local regulations. Must remain focused on quality and exceptional customer relations and can comprehend an expansive product line and its applications. Desired Skills, Education, and Knowledge AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the PDS position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent with two (2) or more years working in a business/sales/warehouse environment. Must earn and/or have a valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License in full compliance with DOT, state, and local regulations. Position requires random drug testing and general security clearance to enter restricted customer facilities. Additional responsibilities, attributes, and skills include but are not limited to: Key Responsibilities (Inventory Management) • Safely load/handle, organize, and deliver products to customer locations in a timely and efficient manner while providing exceptional customer care and service., • Manage and maintain sufficient inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents to meet customer requirements., • Anticipate and learn customer product mix and lead times. Recommend quantities, propose new or alternative products and reagents as appropriate., • Maintain product integrity by following proper handling, storage, and documentation procedures., • Develop and maintain professional and supportive customer relations during deliveries and pickups., • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, requests and/or concerns. Elevate to management immediately if unable to resolve., • Assist with warehouse tasks such as stocking, staging, verifying inventory, and organizing materials as needed., • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs, • Maintain delivery schedules and communicate delays or issues to customers and/or management, • Use handheld devices or logs to track deliveries, mileage, and inventory as needed, • Follow company safety policies, OSHA standards, and defensive driving practices, • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and work areas, • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class C – Hazmat Endorsement will be required), • Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening, • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices, • Ability to safely lift and move up to 40 lbs. regularly, • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills, • Basic computer or mobile device proficiency, • Previous distribution, delivery, or logistics experience, • Experience with route planning or delivery management systems, • Combination of driving, warehouse, office, and outdoor work, • Exposure to varying weather conditions AquaPhoenix is driven by a company culture that inspires a flexible, fun ‘can-do’ approach to business.
