Job Description Fuel & Lube Technician FPS Civil is seeking a Fuel & Lube Technician to support our field and equipment operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience performing daily fueling of field/shop equipment (trucks and heavy equipment machinery), daily operational checks, and preventive maintenance services on all equipment. This position will require travel to the jobsites and candidate will be expected to meet company attendance standards and be able to pass a background check as some of our job sites have high security clearance requirements. Successful candidate will report to the Operations Support Manager and work closely with management to achieve goal objectives. Compliance with all Company safety policies, OSHA, job site requirements, and site safety standards is absolutely required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Perform fuel and service on all equipment., • Perform oil and fluid changes as per company standards., • Inspect daily operational checks (including inspecting cutting edges and tires) on all equipment and report deficiencies., • Fill out and submit work orders, fuel logs, and all other shop related forms correctly and on time., • Provide training to others as assigned., • Must be qualified to work in a safety sensitive position on a construction job site or around heavy equipment. Adhere to all applicable jobsite safety policies. Requirements • 2 years of heavy equipment/maintenance experience preferred., • Must be able to pass a background check/security clearance., • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy., • Arizona Class B or A CDL with X (Hazardous Materials and Tank) endorsement preferred., • HAZMAT preferred., • Current CDL license preferred., • Ability to be creative and provide out of the box solutions., • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities., • Ability to work well in teams as well as independently and with minimal supervision. Work Environment/Physical Demands • Hearing sufficiently to be aware of back-up alarms, equipment, and normal conversations., • Dexterity and agility sufficient for climbing on and under equipment, repairing/maintaining equipment, and driving vehicles including manual transmission vehicles., • Mental alertness for learning company policy, servicing of equipment, inspection of equipment to report deficiencies, and writing reports., • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and policies., • Work flexible hours and overtime as required; this may include night work and/or weekends., • Working outdoors in inclement climate.
