Job Description: The Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) provides specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Roles and Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care to PCU patients with complex and acute medical conditions, • Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry readings accurately, • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed, • Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status, • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care, • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record, • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions, • Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards Required Qualifications: • Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required, • 2+ years of experience required for first-time travelers, • Active RN License required (Compact License preferred if applicable), • AHA ACLS certification required, • AHA BCLS/BLS certification required, • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Apidel Technologies Job ID #API4182.
