    This position is for a Per-Diem Daycare substitute assistant* This a Home Based Licensed Group Family Daycare located in Woodside, Queens. We are seeking to hire a Daycare Substitute Assistant. The ideal candidate must be willing to provide child care to infants and toddlers as needed per-diem (based on the attendance/ratio of the children present) in the event additional coverage is needed within the program; commit to overseeing the daily functions of the program, provide a loving and professional environment, while providing leadership experience to both our children and parents. Responsibilities: • Monitor and play with children to ensure safety., • Ensure safety and oversight of all children at all times, • Keep the facility clean and well maintained., • Adhere to local and state child care laws and regulations., • Adhere to company policies and procedures., • Maintain the security of all records associated with the daycare, • Personal care to include diaper changing, toileting, meal preparation, etc., • Maintain cleanliness of toys, mats, tables and chairs, bathroom, sweeping, washing dishes, etc ., • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Provider, • Maintain and upkeep trainings as required by Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), • Be able to provide care and oversight from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm or 8:30 am -4:30 pm Monday-Friday as needed on a per-diem basis (on-call). Please be advised, due to mandated ratios regulations by Department of Health, this may change.
