Department/Unit: Emergency Medicine General Work Shift: Per Diem (United States of America) Salary Range: $78,773.63 - $122,099.12 The clinical research coordinator is responsible for the organization and management of multiple industry sponsored and Investigator initiated clinical trials. The position is accountable for assisting in the timely and accurate conduct of research studies, being concerned primarily for the protection and care of the patient as a research patient from initiation to completion of study. Activities include participating in the study start up and termination procedures, working with study participants in various study tasks including patient recruitment, screening for eligibility, scheduling, physical assessments and biospecimen collection and processing, as well as data collection and study completion activities. The research coordinator serves as the liaison between PI and research site and the study sponsor and other vendors working on the trial. B. Pre-Study Initiation 1. We operate as a patient-centered drug discovery engine for NF, a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves affecting 1 in 2,000 individuals. We operate by accelerating the full continuum of scientific discovery, from basic research through translation to clinical trials and approved treatments — while empowering patients and building the financial infrastructure to support that journey. GENERAL SUMMARY The Director of Patient Education & Engagement, reporting directly to the Vice President of Research Impact and Engagement, has a comprehensive skill set that combines healthcare expertise, strong communication skills, and patient-focused competencies. The Director will create, develop, and oversee programs that educate and support patients and families with NF1 and SWN, including the planning and coordination of the annual NF Summit. Job Description The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for promoting the Health Home program and building relationships that encourage new enrollments. This role involves engaging with providers across various sectors of the healthcare industry, with a specific focus on social services. The Intake Coordinator must possess in-depth knowledge of Harlem United’s services and will conduct presentations on the Health Home services at community-based organizations and community meetings. The primary responsibility of the Intake Coordinator is to enroll between 35 and 40 new clients each month and supervise two to four peers who will also conduct intakes. The Intake Coordinator will track monthly enrollment targets, train peers to complete enrollment forms, and research new organizations to partner with to promote and offer the Health Home program services. POSITION OVERVIEW Under supervision of the Nurse Supervisor/Manager (RN) and with the collaboration of the Program Director, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the safe and efficient dispensing of methadone medication doses to clients, consistent with the clinic procedures, and performing nursing assessments and functions within their scope of practice. The LPN will coordinate the implementation of medication dispensing in the integrated outpatient program (CDOP/OTP) for clients, which can include various assisted treatment medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone, and naloxone, and other medications in the OTP dispensing unit. The LPN will be required to collaborate with members of the behavioral health, medical team and other leadership in the development, management, and operations of the OTP and will operate under the organization’s philosophy, standards of practice and policy.
