Job Description Open To All Applicants Salary is Negotiable After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase. Summary: Provide counseling services including initial assessments, treatment plans, and on-going psychotherapy for individuals, groups, couples and families. The therapist will work with all age groups and with a multitude of different problems ranging from chronically mentally ill to the client experiencing situational distress and with clients who have co-occurring disorders. Incumbent will be expected to work extended hours and irregular shifts. Responsibilities: • Participate and assist in planning, developing, organizing, facilitating, and providing psychotherapy services/programs in prevention, intervention, treatment, and aftercare. At times required to provide all treatment services in OBH satellite offices at identified schools, Oneida Community Health Center, Oneida Veterans Office, or other locations as assigned. a. Intervene in crisis situations, making immediate assessments and referrals in emergency situations. b. Provide quality psychotherapy services to youth, young adults, adults, elders, families, and groups as appropriate. c. Proficiency in facilitating quality group therapy as assigned. d. Maintain case records containing pertinent, accurate and current information in compliance with the Privacy Act, • Intervene in crisis situations, making immediate assessments and referrals in emergency situations., • Provide quality psychotherapy services to youth, young adults, adults, elders, families, and groups as needed; intervene in crisis situations, making immediate assessments and referrals in emergency situations. a. Perform assessments; interventions; individual, group and family counseling; at times required to provide all treatment services in (OBH) Oneida Behavioral Health satellite office at identified schools,(OCHC) Oneida Community Health Center, Oneida Veterans Office, or other locations as assigned; discharge planning; outreach referral; advocacy and home visits; follow-up care and in-home supports services; and provide educational and preventive activities; provide services in Safe Care Pathway, DBT, or any assigned specialized OBH treatment programming. b. Coordinate services with Tribal Social Services Programs, and county, state, private and federal agencies that will best serve the individual, client, family, and community. d. Skills: Essential: • Ability to learn operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment, • Communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing, • Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines, • Obtain additional education and training, • Comply with Caregiver Law and Grant conditions criminal history checks as a condition of employment to include fingerprinting, • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds, • Knowledge of applicable Oneida Nation, federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements, • Knowledge of patient outreach services and activities, funding agencies, and community health care and vocational services, • Working with children, adolescents, and families, • Knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of clinical developmental and counseling psychology, • Work remotely as needed according to the Telecommuting SOP, • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care programs, • Must be billable and reimbursable for commercial insurances, and medical assistance, • Knowledge and understanding of the Oneida Nation culture, tradition, and values, • Ability to lead and train staff and/or students Education Requirement - Or A Closely Related Field: Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: • Master's Degree in Social Work Credentials: Essential: • Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle, • Insurance Required, • Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor license, • Substance Abuse Counselor license, • Driver Safety Training, • Possess Training License, • Health Insurance Portability (HIPAA) Accountability, with thirty (30) days of employment and annually thereafter., • Basic Life Saving (BLS), within thre (3) months of employment., • Child Abuse Reporting Policy (CARP), within niney (90) days of employment.
