Depending on experience POSITION IDENTIFICATION Title: Production Team Lead Business Unit: iManufacturing Reports to: Production Manager/Production Supervisor Location: Yorba Linda, CA Start Date: IMMEDIATELY COMPANY DESCRIPTION Impact Housing (IH) is a vertically integrated modular design-builder and developer headquartered in Southern California. Our mission is to continuously evolve the worlds most sophisticated and efficient housing delivery system. We pursue this mission by reimagining every element of how multifamily projects are designed, manufactured, and builtdriving down costs, shortening schedules, and expanding access to high-quality housing for the people who need it most, whether through LIHTC or unsubsidized projects. To date this decade, the IH team has built or is actively developing close to 1,500 modular units at all-in costs of roughly $275,000 per unitdemonstrating a scalable, repeatable path to affordability. With the capability to produce approximately 1,000 units per year today, IH is expanding to meet growing demand in San Diego, Los Angeles, and beyond. We are now entering the next stage of our growth and strengthening every team across the company to achieve our next set of goals. We plan to manufacture and build more than 10,000 units through 2030. To accomplish this, we are implementing the Lean Standard Model company-wide; deploying AI at every level of the company; and positioning IH as a national thought leader in modular development. The foundation for our success is firmly in place. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking skilled and proactive Team Leads to support daily operations at our modular home manufacturing plant. This role is critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing workstations. The Team Lead oversees a crew of 48 team members, ensures compliance with lean manufacturing principles, and supports continuous improvement across the production line. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of construction or manufacturing workflows, and experience solving problems independently in a fast-paced production environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Leadership • Manage a team of 48 tradespeople within an assigned station., • Maintain Manufacturing Execution System (MES) accuracy and ensure production adheres to standard cycle times., • Provide workstation coverage as needed during absences., • Conduct on-the-job training to build skills and promote operational excellence., • Support and reinforce lean manufacturing practices. Quality & Continuous Improvement • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives., • Manage nonconformances within the station and prevent the build or shipment of defective products., • Perform 5S activities and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment., • Conduct error-proofing, standard work verification, and operational risk assessments., • Attend and respond to Andon calls., • Identify waste and implement corrective actions. Production Support & Coordination • Oversee tool control, part kitting, and inventory management., • Track potential project delays and develop strategies to mitigate risks., • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders., • Monitor relevant local policies, media, and industry dynamics that may impact operations. QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years of manufacturing and relevant construction experience., • Bilingual English/Spanish is a MUST, • Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities (deductive and inductive)., • Excellent oral and written communication skills., • High attention to detail and ability to recognize potential issues early., • Strong organizational and information-ordering skills., • Ability to maintain focus, work independently, and manage competing priorities., • Creativity and originality in improving processes and solving operational challenges., • Ability to visualize sequences, workflows, and spatial layouts., • Clear speech and strong comprehension skills. EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS • High School Diploma or GED, • Forklift Operator Certification, • First Aid/CPR Certification preferred, • Lean Certification preferred WORK AUTHORIZATION All prospective Impact Housing employees must be able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the US. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Competitive pay of $25.00/hr. to $30.00/hr. - based on experience, • Health benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA, • Vacation, • Sick time, • Holiday pay, • Ownership of company equity, • 401K Retirement Plan WORKING CONDITIONS • Climate-controlled manufacturing facility environment, • Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm, with flexibility to start/end at other times as assigned, • Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak production periods, • Fast-paced production environment with daily targets and quality expectations, • Team-based work structure with collaboration and communication throughout the day, • Exposure to construction tools, equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes, • Noise levels requiring hearing protection in certain areas. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods., • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds as needed.
