About This Role We're looking for a skilled and motivated General Foreman to lead field operations on high-profile commercial and industrial projects. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert on-site—coordinating crews, managing schedules, and ensuring top-tier quality and safety standards are met every step of the way. You'll work closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to deliver complex electrical systems on time and within budget. What You'll DoSafety: • Manages job site safety, • Responsible for mentoring safe working habits, • Schedules safety equipment, • Identifies upcoming high-risk activities, • Communicates with Safety Manager, PM, and SuperintendentPlanning:, • Manages the day-to-day operation of a job site, • Attends weekly GC coordination meetings, • Reviews construction schedule for upcoming activities and coordination issues, • Coordinates with other trades, • Fills out a 3-week look ahead based on the construction schedule, • Fills out detailed weekly plan, • Schedules resources including manpower, material, equipment, and subcontractors, • Orders material for the upcoming week, • Delegates work assignments to leadmen and journeymen, • Assists in layout and planning for electrical installation, • Mentors leadmen on planning techniquesProductivity:, • Tracks job site progress, • Relays production targets to the field staff, • Reviews job site progress and production targets with PM and SuperintendentQuality Control:, • Walks the project daily for quality installation, • Creates issue logs daily for delegation to the crew, • Accountable for a quality installationJob Site Documentation:, • Daily time recording, • Safety documentation, including weekly safety meetings, daily pre-task plans, and lock-out tag-out procedures, • Job planning documentation, such as 3-week and 1-week task plans, • Daily action items/issue logs, • GC coordination meeting minutes, • Rolling punch list, • Daily logs, • Information management (RFIs, drawings, changes, submittals, schedules, and as-builds), • Documentation of all field-initiated change orders (with PM approval)What You'll Bring, • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training, • Electrical apprenticeship or accredited electrical training program or equivalent work experience, • 8-10 years of experience in the electrical construction industry, • 2-4 years in a leadership role on electrical construction projects, managing 10-15 electricians, • OSHA 10 training is required, • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, • Knowledge of safe working procedures and OSHA requirements, • Familiarity with the National Electric Code requirements, • Advanced understanding of electrical materials, components, equipment, systems, layouts, and methods of installation, • Knowledge of construction sequence, scheduling, and trade interaction, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and written specifications, • Ability to communicate installation instructions effectively to electricians, • Capacity to mentor and train a team of electricians, • Competitive wages, • Company vehicle and fuel card, • Comprehensive benefits package, • Bonus potential Join us and be part of a team dedicated to creating efficient, sustainable, and high-performance environments that make a lasting impact across the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.
