DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school and considerable general mechanical maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience that produces the following: · Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job. · Knowledge of the standard practices, methods, processes, tools, machines and materials of the mechanical trade. · Ability to read and write work-related job instructions in English. · Ability to maintain routine records and reports. · Ability to work from sketches/drawings, to understand and carry out oral/written instructions. · Ability to communicate effectively with others in English. · Ability to troubleshoot swimming pool equipment. · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and residents. · Skill in the use and care of tools, materials and equipment used in the mechanical trade. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: · Possession of a valid California driver’s license. · Possession of A/C and Heating Certificate from an accredited school. · Possession of EPA approved Certificate to reclaim HCFC's · Ability to pass respiratory pulmonary function test. · Ability to pass qualitative and/or quantitative respirator fit test.
