What You'll Do As a Journeyman Framer, you'll be at the heart of our construction projects, transforming blueprints into solid, foundational structures. Your day-to-day will be dynamic and rewarding, focusing on precision and teamwork. • Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately plan framing layouts., • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials with exceptional accuracy using a variety of hand and power tools., • Construct, erect, and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs, ensuring structural integrity., • Install sheathing, sub-flooring, and roof decking efficiently and according to specifications., • Operate essential power tools such as saws, drills, nail guns, and routers safely and proficiently., • Collaborate closely with project managers, supervisors, and fellow team members to maintain project timelines and quality standards., • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations on every job site, promoting a secure working environment., • Perform regular quality checks on your work and that of the team, identifying and correcting any discrepancies., • Assist in setting up and dismantling scaffolding and temporary structures as needed., • Contribute to problem-solving and provide expert insights on framing challenges during project execution., • Mentor and guide apprentice framers, sharing your valuable knowledge and best practices., • Hourly Rate: $30 - $48 per hour, commensurate with your experience and demonstrated skill level., • Overtime Opportunities: Regular opportunities for overtime pay, significantly boosting your annual earnings., • Health Benefits: Access to comprehensive health insurance plans to support your well-being., • Retirement Planning: Options for pension contributions to help secure your financial future., • Paid Holidays: Enjoy paid time off for designated holidays, allowing for rest and rejuvenation., • Professional Development: Access to resources and training opportunities to further enhance your carpentry and framing skills., • Safety Gear Provided: All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to ensure your safety on site., • Travel & Subsistence Allowances: Where applicable, allowances for travel and subsistence for projects outside the immediate area., • Team Lunches & Events: Periodic team-building events and lunches to foster camaraderie., • Proven journeyman level experience in wood framing, specifically in residential or commercial construction., • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Journeyman Framer., • Exceptional proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, schematics, and construction documents., • Demonstrated expertise in construction framing techniques, including wall, floor, and roof systems., • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations relevant to framing in the Huntington Beach area., • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from various job sites., • Ability to safely lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks., • Commitment to adhering to all job site safety protocols and best practices., • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction Safety Certification., • Completion of a recognized Carpenter Apprenticeship Program., • Fall Protection Certification., • Scaffold User Certification., • Experience with advanced framing techniques or specialized construction methods., • Proficiency in operating specialized framing equipment beyond standard power tools.
