Job Summary The Territory Manager is responsible for sales in, but not limited to, the Southern Central Valley of California to the Mexico border. The Territory Manager will be the face of the Company in the territory, maintaining existing customers as well as building connections with and establishing new customers; always conducting themself in the most professional and ethical manner possible with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers, dealers, suppliers, and co-workers. Each engine and product line represented by the Company will be represented in this territory by the Territory Manager. First and foremost, the Territory Manager must be an effective salesperson, as all development plans for the area hinge upon growing sales. The Company is a distributor and does not sell directly to end users. The Territory Manager’s principal focus will be on personal sales to OEMs and sales support for Dealers selling standard (i.e., non-configurable) products such as generator sets, irrigation power units and other products the Company may add from time to time. The Company will provide marketing, inside sales, engineering, service, technical communications, logistics, training, and aftermarket support for the Territory Manager. Attention to the entire territory will be crucial, and growth in that territory is a primary goal. The Territory Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with OEM customers, dealers, and others. Additionally, the Territory Manager will be the point of sale and advise customers on engine selection and matching components. Another responsibility specific to this territory will be to aid in the establishment of Service Dealers. The Company will provide resources and guidance for the effort of the continued development of a service network to support our various engine lines. A successful Territory Manager can balance the personal and technical connection with customers, work well with multiple inputs for the same project, and deliver a consistent, timely, and prompt response to customers. They will also work in concert with internal partners such as inside sales, parts, and engineering as well. A Territory Manager will be able to provide status reports on what is happening on their assigned territory including market conditions, coming and current trends, crop or material prices affecting sales, and other pertinent data points that allow them to better serve their customers and allow the Company to respond. Essential Functions The Territory Manager is responsible for these essential functions, with the full support and assistance of the Company’s staff and management: • Conducting personal sales activity on OEM and Dealer accounts in a manner aligned with the Company’s Mission “To be recognized as the best-value complete engine power unit supplier in the Western United States.”, • Aiding in evaluating potential for and setting up approved Service Dealers, • Entering call reports on the Company’s chosen method for call reporting, • Providing timely unit forecasts or forecast updates on at least a monthly basis or as requested by the General Sales Manager or the Inventory Control Manager, • Reporting competitive information through the call report system., • Analyzing and recommending Company participation in regional and local customer-facing events such as shows/exhibitions, dealer open houses and trade association marketing events. This would include not only personal sales activity, but prospect lists for broader-based marketing campaigns conducted by inside sales and marketing personnel., • Recommending Company marketing communication materials to the Sales and Marketing Coordinator (product flyers, event announcements, fact sheets or other promotional materials for in-house production.), • Working closely with the Company’s Service and Aftermarket managers to monitor and provide superior service and support consistent with the Company’s Mission., • Additional projects, events and duties as directed by the President or General Sales Manager. Job Description Job Summary Superintendent is responsible for the smooth functioning of day-to-day field operations to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. The experienced and fully competent Superintendent implements the project plan and schedule, ensures safety and quality control, and delegates work to field staff and subcontractors. Responsibilities • Comprehend and administer a safety program that provides for a safe work environment that meets or exceeds Companys Annual Incident Goal, and foster a culture that expects participation at all levels, • Ensures project materials are supplied and work is completed in compliance with the Project Quality Program or equivalent, • Ensures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, design drawings, and applicable codes and that Companys high quality standards are maintained and achieved., • Develops, maintains, and drives the construction schedule in conjunction with project team; ensures project milestones and completion dates are met.Schedule should be updated daily, • Works with project team to issue material and services purchase orders and confirms receipt of materials and return of equipment., • Maintains inventory log and handles the distribution of material to Companys employees, • Supervises field employees and sub-trades, makes sure their work is planned and performed efficiently, and makes sure their time / production sheets are accurately coded, • Supervises sub-contractors to achieve all required project deliverables, • Mentors project team members in order to contribute to their development and career growth, • Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the projects ongoing progression, • Maintains a thorough Superintendents daily log that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections, and other relevant information, • Hold weekly Monday safety meeting and job discussion forum., • Manage and perform weekly safety inspections., • Prepare and distribute weekly progress reports.
