This role is central to scaling the facilities, IT, and security foundation required for the company's next stage of growth. The Director of Infrastructure Operations leads Caliola's information technology, cybersecurity infrastructure, industrial security programs, and the daily operation of the company's 16,500-square-foot facility, including accredited secure spaces. As a rapidly growing defense technology company recognized on the Fast 500, the company requires an operational leader capable of scaling secure systems and facilities to support continued growth and increasingly complex mission requirements. The Director ensures all systems, networks, and physical environments operate securely, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director owns enterprise infrastructure, security, and facilities strategy, translating executive priorities into scalable operational execution. The role leads a blended team of employees and consultants across IT, security, and facilities, with full accountability for performance, CMMC compliance, and oversight of FSO/ISSM functions supporting accredited programs. The Director owns the company's IT, industrial security, and facilities operating budgets, develops multi-year infrastructure investment roadmaps, and recommends capital expenditures aligned with business growth and mission delivery. Responsibilities of this Position Information Technology (IT): • Lead and mature Caliola's hybrid IT environment (cloud and on-prem), ensuring secure, reliable, and cost-effective operations., • Maintain and strengthen CMMC Level II compliance and ensure adherence to NIST SP 800-171 controls and applicable RMF requirements., • Advance cybersecurity maturity beyond existing compliance through continuous monitoring, risk management, and control optimization., • Oversee enterprise cybersecurity risk management and coordinate incident response across internal teams and external partners., • Drive infrastructure architecture modernization priorities to improve automation, scalability, and operational efficiency., • Develop and execute multi-year IT investment roadmaps aligned with business growth and mission requirements., • Direct internal IT personnel and service providers in secure system administration, network operations, endpoint management, and configuration control., • Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and safety of all company facilities, including secure spaces., • Develop and manage facilities budgets and vendor contracts for maintenance, janitorial, and security services., • Ensure effective operation and maintenance of physical security controls such as access control systems, alarms, cameras, and visitor management., • Manage building systems (HVAC, electrical, access control, and fire suppression) to ensure operational readiness and compliance with all fire, life safety, and occupancy requirements., • Plan and coordinate facility renovations or modifications in compliance with Secure Room accreditation standards., • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local building and safety regulations., • Provide leadership oversight for compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and applicable requirements under 32 CFR Part 117., • Support and sustain compliance with requirements under 32 CFR Part 170, as well as applicable cybersecurity, information assurance, and physical security requirements., • Serve as the company liaison with government security officials and represent the company during audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews., • Oversee the FSO, ISSM, ISM, and related qualified personnel and ensure continuous compliance of Secure Room operations, documentation, and secure IT systems., • Lead security self-inspections, vulnerability assessments, and incident response to maintain accreditation and readiness., • Foster a culture of security awareness, accountability, and operational excellence across the organization., • Active security clearance at the Secret level or higher. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to secure information., • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Security, Business or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience., • 10+ years of progressive experience defense, national security, infrastructure operations, security, facilities, or similarly regulated environments, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role., • Proven track record of increasing responsibility supporting the Department of Defense including experience managing secure systems and secure facilities., • Demonstrated ability to lead teams operating within cybersecurity, industrial security, facilities, or other regulated defense-contractor environments., • Working knowledge of enterprise IT operations, compliance frameworks, and physical or technical security controls in secure or classified environments sufficient to direct teams, evaluate risk, and make sound operational decisions., • Broad understanding of building systems and facility operations and experience delivering infrastructure and facility projects on time and within budget., • Proven leadership skills in cross-functional team management, vendor oversight, and communication with executive and government stakeholders., • Active Top-Secret security clearance, • Master's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Security or a related field., • Experience overseeing FSO, ISSM, ISM, or equivalent functions supporting accredited secure systems or classified environments., • Proven experience implementing and maintaining compliance with CMMC Level II requirements. Experience leading mixed teams of employees, consultants, managed service providers, and vendors., • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English., • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods while performing computer-based and administrative tasks., • Ability to transition between sitting, standing, and walking as needed to complete job-related tasks in office and facility environments., • Ability to safely lift, carry, and/or move IT and office equipment weighing up to 50 pounds., • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, or reach to access equipment in racks, under desks, or within facility systems., • Manual dexterity sufficient to grasp, handle, and manipulate small items such as cables, connectors, computer components, and documentation., • Ability to visually inspect IT and facility equipment, wiring, and security systems for maintenance or troubleshooting., • Must be able to move throughout secure areas (e.g., Secure Room and facility spaces) and respond promptly to physical or system alarms as needed., • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
