Job Description Company: Oakley Country Club Location: Watertown, MA Job Title: Cook - Sous Chef Pay: Competitive Pay of $68k-$72k/year based on experience Schedule: This is a full-time position. You will work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special Club events. Your schedule may change based on the needs of the Club and our Members. You will assist in the execution of the Club's menus with precision and consistency, ensuring that all dining outlets and events meet our exacting standards. You will collaborate on the development of seasonal menus and specials, maintain recipe integrity and presentation standards, and ensure the timely service of à la carte dining, banquets, and Member functions. Your responsibilities will also encompass food ordering, receiving, and inventory management, as well as the organization of storage and preparation areas. You will uphold a positive and professional environment by mentoring and training staff, coordinating schedules, and supporting the seamless execution of Club events. Each day, you will enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, keeping the kitchen in inspection-ready condition at all times. READY TO JOIN US? All that you need is: • 3+ years of progressive culinary experience in a private club, hotel, or upscale dining environment, • Creative culinary mindset balanced with consistency and discipline, • Strong knowledge of food ordering, inventory management, and organization, • Ability to lead, mentor, and train culinary teams, • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs, • Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events Join our kitchen team!
