Purpose: This Job description provides guidance for the Courier Manager under the direction of laboratory and operations leadership. The Courier Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager. Scope: The Courier Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, performance management, and continuous improvement of Tulsa Medical Lab’s courier and fleet operations. This role is accountable for driving operational efficiency, service quality, cost control, and measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Provide strategic leadership of courier operations including dispatch, routing, and fleet utilization, • Develop and enforce SOPs and client SLAs, • Create and manage KPI framework for performance tracking, • Analyze and report operational metrics to leadership, • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including route optimization and cost reduction, • Lead and develop dispatchers and drivers, holding teams accountable to performance standards, • Manage technology improvements and system optimization, • Oversee budget, labor, fuel, and fleet cost management, • Ensure compliance, safety, and specimen integrity, • Oversee hiring, training and management of driver and dispatch operations. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field experience preferred, • 5+ years of logistics experience and 3+ years’ experience of courier fleet management, • Leadership experience managing teams and direct reports, • Experience in medical industry preferred, • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, • Proven ability to create measurable and actionable KPIs, • Experience with Samsara or similar courier fleet management software Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: · Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. · Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. · Ability to lift up to forty pounds.
