Arranges transportation for parents to attend., • Writes psycho-socials and treatment reports based on collaboration with fellow team members. Develops a safety plan for youth., • Provides one-on-one counseling and trauma-informed casework, as needed, practice with individual youth., • Meets biweekly with supervisor and case aide to discuss treatment plans, progress, challenges and ideas., • Facilitates permanent connections for youth/assures family engagement whenever possible., • Explores clinical, educational, vocational and legal services, • Attends, engages and advocates for youth at school conferences and IEP’s. The social worker will play a crucial role in the initial assessment and referral process for individuals entering the court system, particularly those with mental health, substance abuse, or other behavioral health needs. CASES is a New York City agency at the forefront of the intersection between behavioral health and the criminal justice system. Supervised Release offers an alternative to jail by providing pretrial supervision, case management, and voluntary social services to people charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, and in doing so, uses an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life, avoiding the harmful effects of incarceration. Program participants are monitored to ensure their appearance at court dates and mandatory programming, and receive referrals to services like job training, drug treatment, and mental health counseling. BJI is seeking a Supervising Case Manager for the borough’s Supervised Release Program (SRP). Reporting to Case Management Coordinator, the Supervising Case Manager will be responsible for providing substantive and consistent clinically-informed task supervision to Case Managers and Senior Case Managers to ensure fidelity to the program model and quality service to participants. Program Description Putnam Court is a building which was developed and is operated by Dunn Development Corp., a private developer. Putnam Court is a newly constructed residential building located on Putnam Avenue between Irving Place and Downing Street in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. The project consists of a seven-story elevator building containing 59 residential units, with 58 units of rental housing and one superintendent’s unit. CAMBA, Inc. is the on-site services provider at Putnam Court. Thirty-four apartments, 58% of the units in the building, will be master leased by CAMBA and will house Population A chronically homeless single adults who are diagnosed with SPMI (seriously and persistently mentally ill) or MICA (mentally III and chemically addicted). The remaining 24 units are occupied by community residents, who may require some services. Job Description Overview Since inception in 2004, BI Incorporated has operated ISAP for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). ISAP is an essential part of ERO, providing intensive supervision of individuals in immigration proceedings. The program achieves positive results by combining comprehensive case management with proven supervision technology. In addition, BI maintains an extensive list of community-based partners to provide critical assistance for participants' basic life needs. With consistent positive outcomes, ISAP continues to grow and evolve, serving an ever-increasing number of participants. Responsibilities Summary: Provides case management of Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) participants from entry to release by administering the program’s policies and procedures as defined by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Develops, implements, coordinates, reviews and updates case management and individual service plans for ISAP participants in conformance with state and federal regulations and program requirements. Meets with participants face-to-face regularly as required by contractual obligations., • Develops and maintains accurate and complete case records for all ISAP participants from entry to release from ISAP. Proactively manages cases using all appropriate tools and techniques. THE OPPORTUNITY The Staten Island Justice Center (SIJC; Justice Center) offers an array of programming for both youth and adults in Staten Island, focusing on engaging those with current or past justice involvement. The Justice Center’s Alternatives to Incarceration programming provides judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys with alternative community sentencing options that hold individuals accountable in a way that is meaningful, proportionate, and restorative. The goal is to provide participants with individual and group services that help them to avoid future contact with the justice system and promote swift case resolutions that bolster public confidence in justice. Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the Case Manager will be responsible for the monitoring and case management of program participants, referring participants to voluntary social service interventions, and helping promote compliance with pre-plea and post-plea conditions. The Case Manager will stay in regular contact with participants, including facilitating in-person case management meetings. The Case Manager will also facilitate groups and assist in development of onsite services for participants. Additionally, the Case Manager will be in communication with attorneys’ offices, community-based providers, and draft memos to keep the court informed of participants’ compliance. The Case Manager will work closely with an interdisciplinary team providing adult case management services. Job Description CASE MANAGER QUEENS SUPERVISED RELEASE PROGRAM POSTED: 4/23/2026 ABOUT CJA The New York City Criminal Justice Agency (CJA) is a not-for-profit service and research organization that operates in partnership with the New York City Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice. CJA is the City's main pretrial services agency, combining operations, pilot projects, and research under one roof. CJA utilizes procedural justice practices to provide pretrial services to over 100,000 persons arrested annually in New York City. POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Supervising Clinical Case Manager and under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Case Manager is a dynamic, knowledgeable, and experienced individual with a social service, psychology, or clinical background to help make an impact on the ever-changing role of the court system and alternative initiatives aimed at reducing detention and crime rates in the city. The Case Manager hired for this position will be working on a team that serves both youth and adult clients (ages 16 years and older).
